Cambria Hotel Madison East

It was a wonderful stay. I’m traveling with my band, so I like to find a restful and comfortable spot to recharge. This was just that place. Spacious rooms, nice amenities, great fitness center, wonderful service.

A whole lot of small things add up to this hotel being a solid two. Killed 6 drain flies in the room and there were more already deceased. Dead spider hanging from ceiling and overall needs cobwebs cleaned. Bed was not the worst but it was uncomfortable, the pillow topper was too thin and bed frame shook when partner rolled over at night. Bathroom was fine except for insects. Door lock was difficult to open/close and door was hard to open. It would be hard for kids or elderly to open the door. Doors slamming in hallway is pretty common and very loud. No coffee at 10:30 am and was told that they don’t make additional coffee after the breakfast hour. Check out was 11 am and neither key would not work on room door at 10:30 am. Overall this doesn’t seem like a customer centric hotel and mostly just cashing in on proximity to the hospital and businesses. Did not use the bar/restaurant, workout facilities or pool. Room size in king room was decent and had a small closet for hanging clothes and a luggage rack. TV remote had dead batteries. Pillows were decent. Will not return.

There was a musty smell coming from the closet nearest the bed. It was bad enough that my wife had trouble sleeping. The shower did not drain properly and water level got up to ankle high. We were looking forward to a soak in the hot tub but it was out of commission. The pool itself was tiny and there was an off / dirty smell in the pool area. The staff were extremely pleasant though, very friendly and welcoming. Even so not planning on staying there again.

Easy, quiet, and quality property.

Everything was beautiful-room was spacious and lovely with the exception of it being 85 degrees when we arrived which was around 8pm. We turned down the temp as soon as we entered the room but it didn’t getting cooler than 76 which was not the most pleasant sleeping.

Building is beautiful, beds were comfy, and area is nice — but even though we stayed in a lovely corner suite, the sheets were badly stained, there was a spider and web in the tub, and fingernail clippings on the table. Front desk service was apologetic about the sheets and promptly provided new but we had to remake the bed ourselves. Also the “free airport shuttle” was the reason I picked this hotel but we needed an early shuttle and there wasn’t a driver available. Sad to say we won’t stay here again.

Very slow service.

Rooms are large. My only complaint was that the pool was not in operation.

Our stay here at Cambria Hotel was very pleasant. The aesthetics of this hotel were very pleasing and relaxing. The rooms were spacious with a sleeping area, a sitting area and a very spacious bathroom. A very nice surprise and much more welcoming than the typical hotel bathroom that you can barely fit into. Everything was very clean and the staff were all pleasant as well. This hotel also has a bar/restaurant downstairs with plenty of eating space as well as some lounging areas as well. They also offer an indoor pool and a plus for us (we've been on the road for an extended period) was an on sight laundry facility. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Madison WI area. We would most definitely stay here again when in passing thru.
