"Needs a deep cleaning"

We checked in on line and selected an available room. When we went to the room, there were fans set up to dry the carpet, and there was a smell that I couldn’t identify. We returned to the front desk, and the clerk said that either someone had smoked in the room or an animal had had an accident. That room should not have been available for rent considering it wasn’t ready for guests. She gave us another room. In our new room, the shower gel bottle had been ripped off the shower stall, I stopped by the front desk to tell the clerk, and she said that happens all the time. The location is great, but this hotel desperately needs a deep cleaning.

Drink machine was out of water. No big deal though, the lady at the desk gave us extra bottles.
