Candlewood Suites Buffalo Amherst by IHG

The room was fine. I couldn’t find any remotes for either of the tvs. Didn’t bother asking it was only 1 night. But they took my card for incidentals and I’ve been charged for 2 extra nights. I’ve already called once without resolution. I’ve stayed there before but now I’m not sure I’ll stay again for that reason. It shouldn’t happen in the first place but I also shouldn’t have to call more than once to have erroneous charges reversed.

Hotel was Neat and Clean. Room was good. It was really nice to have a full kitchen. They have a coffee machine and its operational 24*7. It's about 30 mins drive to Niagara Falls State Park. Staff was polite and helpful. Would surely visit again.

I had a reservation with 2 queen beds. But was told Hotel is fully booked and I was given a room with single queen bed and 1 sofa cum bed. Sofa bed was not at all comfortable. At least I didn't like it. No breakfast.

Stayed here 2 nights so that we could spend a day at Niagara Falls as we traveled east for mountain biking. The kitchenette was well equipped for our needs to cook our own meals.

The front desk manager and staff were friendly, helpful, and answered many questions. The cleaning staff were very helpful too. The bedding and bathroom linens were fresh, clean, and fluffy. The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. The living area, sofa, recliner, bar stools, and computer swivel chair were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and a generous size, I could accomplish a lot, and my stay was relaxing and productive.

The staff were very friendly and responsive. I had an issue with check-in and needed some manager's involvement to correct it, which was handled satisfactorily The overall cleanliness was good, and the exterior was well-maintained. I was informed that they were renovating rooms; mine was comfortable, clean, and had a kitchenette. The daily rate was worth the accommodations.

Location, closer to airport shopping and easy to access

Property is not updated has dirty old carpets in room and hallways. Front desk personnel disappear and customers end up waiting to be registered . Appears to be short staffed.

My only regret was using Expedia to book the room. The Hotel was great. I made a mistake while booking and Expedia wouldn't let me fix it. The Hotel was understanding and worked with me.

Location is very near to University of Buffalo.
