Courtyard by Marriott St. Augustine I-95

Very clean. Great bed.

Hot tub out of service. No warning about renovations taking place. Plugs by bed not operational.

This was the most definitely the worst experience as far as Marriot Courtyard. I’ve been a club member for years, stayed in many different locations but this was the worst!

1. Door to the room had to be forced closed by a man ( lock did not work either) 2. Bathroom was horrible! 3. Bar menu cut to minimum 4. Carpet horrible, full of spots etc

I got the room because it advertised pool and hot tub. Hot tub isn't operational and pool was filthy although they said I could get in pool. Uhhh no thank you. I stayed long enough to watch the game and then left.

I was there for a friends weekend. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was nice and plenty of drink and food options. The beds and pillows were comfortable, Wi-Fi was good. Close enough drive to the heart of St. Augustine. I would definitely stay there again.

The AC in our room was not working properly. Made two calls to have it fixed. Was told it was fixed, however it was not. Asked to move rooms but was told they were booked.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The evening shift clerk was very helpful with information regarding evening activities.

I booked a king room with a sofa bed (like a suite), but we were put in a regular sized room with a king bed and a half moon shaped sofa with no pull out sofa. The pull out sofa part was not really an issue since there were only two of us, but I feel like I should have gotten the room that I booked online instead of being downgraded to a regular room without my knowledge. I wasn't even aware of the downgrade until I looked over my receipt days later. Part of that was my fault as I should have been more diligent on my end to make sure that everything was as it had been booked, but I trusted the property to make sure that the room matched the reservation. We were not advised that the hot tub was out of service due to health code violations prior to our arrival and had to find out when we went down to the pool area. The pool looked like it needed to be cleaned or put under the same code violations as the hot tub. It was so awful that we didn't even utilize that area at all. The hot tub/pool area was one of the reasons I booked that particular hotel in the first place and then I couldn't even enjoy it. I was highly disappointed, to say the least. Also, we were not informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations on their plumbing and the water was turned off from around 9 AM until 4 PM daily. I would have thought that it would be important information to share with us prior to our arrival so that we could decide if that would be acceptable or not, but unfortunately we had to find out after we had already checked in. However, the front desk clerk was not even the one who informed us of this. We found out by reading a sign that had been posted on the elevator doors. I feel like this hotel really dropped the ball on a lot of things and I will definitely be more aware of what I'm getting myself into next time I book a hotel. I will contact the property and ask so many questions, they may be sorry that they had a room available.

Easy to locate, staff was extremely friendly & room was clean.
