Holiday Inn Express & Suites Galveston West-Seawall

Nothing was any good after the lightning strikes to the building and the totally malfunctioning, inoperable fire/smoke system throughout the hotel. Still no good after a whole day of standing outside, all day in our pj's, waiting for an all clear. Our car was blocked by fire engines all day. Ruined our weekend, and the hotel promised to refund 1 nights fees for the inconvenience and for breaking the law and not having a functioning fire alarm system—no refund...all bull sh-t. Don't give these people your money.

Man at front desk was very rude . Basically saying that I didn’t pay for my phone and arguing with me saying that they never took the money out my account. Has to call booking and when booking called him he had a hard time doing his job like he didn’t k ow what he was doing . After a while he threw a key on the desk and told me here you go I just gave you a room like he was giving me a hand out and my room was already paid. He knew he was wrong so each time he would see me we would try to talk to me nice and give me a smile but it was already too late.

Right across the street from the beach, gas station wasn’t far, or Walmart. It was super clean and my room was so cold!
