This hotel was absolutely wonderful to stay in and the ladies in the reception area were an absolute delight and very attentive! My boyfriend and I went for a week and I believe the pricing was reasonable! The breakfast every morning was phenomenal thanks to Vicki and Chris Grant😋 Vicki and Chris made every morning enjoyable! It was overall a wonderful vacation and my boyfriend and I would definitely stay here again!

The location was good.

The price doesn’t fit the quality. The A/C unit in our room didn’t work well and it was 78 degrees in the room. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor everytime we showered. We couldn’t get into our room once we were given keys. The door wouldn’t work so maintenance had to be called in to fix the door so we had to go do something and wait for maintenance to come.

Great location. Just hope the band playing next door at the park is good when you're there. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made even more enjoyable by the singing chef, Chris and his grandma potatoes, yummy! All the kitchen staff was excellent. Was actually probably my favorite breakfast in Virginia Beach. A big thanks to all :)

We stayed for a week at this hotel. Our first impressions weren't good as far as the hotel itself. It is old and the lobby area is small, not Grand as it looks in the pictures. But the front desk girl was great, and even offered to give us a different room because my husband recently had knee surgery, and it would be easier for him to park if we were on a different floor. We were so tired from the trip, and glad to get into our room, but very disappointed in the room itself. There was a bedroom with two double beds, but just enough space to actually walk around each bed and no more. Opening the door nearly hit the first bed, it was incredibly tight spacewise. There was a bad smell in the room, and it felt old. The little sitting area beyond the bedroom was nice to have, but felt old, the door to the balcony was rested and heavy metal. But at least we were on the ocean front! After the first night, we needed to regroup and over breakfast, discussed what we might do. We all felt disappointed and I felt terrible because I was the one that booked it. We went to the front desk to ask what our options were, and they went right to work trying to find us a better situation. After a few hours and a few different attempts at a different room, they quote worked their magic, and we landed in the penthouse room. The angel started singing, and we were so happy. It was Grand and spacious, there was a large bedroom, a large dining area, a living room with another bed, which they improved by bringing an actual mattress to put on that sofa bed, so my son could sleep there comfortably. The staff continued to impress, with each little problem or glitch they were on it, and treated us like we were the only guest in the hotel. The room felt new and fresh, the view was amazing. It was like night and day to the first room. I'll say that a big part of the problem with the first room besides the things I mentioned was that there are exterior corridors, and on your way to the room, you're looking at the back of the parking garage for the first few floors. It's old and dank, a little scary really. So floors for and above don't have that situation. Also the breakfast is good. Chris and his daughter Vicky and another young lady prepare the breakfast, and provide an amazing happy attitude, even singing:-) scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, bacon, pancakes, breads, and pretty good coffee. That was a big plus. Overall, we would probably stay again, not for the building itself, but for the staff. They work hard to address everything and really care about making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Just take your purse with you when you leave the room if housekeeping is coming. Enough said about that.

The breakfast was amazing and so was the staff.
