Vangelis Hotel & Suites

The positives: . The hotel staff were very friendly. . The hotel cleaners did a wonderful job. The Negatives: . We had no hot water (reported this twice to reception and it was never fixed) for our entire holiday so we had to endure cold showers!! . We had a broken fridge, this was reported to reception and the called out maintenance but the fridge wasn’t repaired/replaced. We reported this issue again and it was then fixed after 2 days. . There was an extremely limited food offering (extremely small buffet) in which resulted with us eating out most of our holiday even though we had all inclusive status - All inclusive for this hotel is NOT worth it!! The kids meal option was Chips/Chicken Nuggets (all week) only. . All the food was cold most of the time which was another factor with us eating out instead of eating it at the hotel too. . The snack bar consisted of four items, Cheese burger (the burger itself was as small as a fifty pence piece (this is really not an exaggeration!! ) Chips (which were freezing cold), salad box, and Pizza (again which was freezing cold) . All inclusive should mean all inclusive but when requesting bottled water (you need to pay - this is/was terrible) We chose this hotel originally based upon the reviews on trip advisor and they were not bad, so I don’t know if something recently has happened causing our experience to be so bad but until they fix the issues above, I would avoid, there are other hotels at the same price or cheaper that are better!!

Great location middle of the strip, room amazing 2413 sea view suite, food very and staff amazing. The only downside is half the main pool area is shaded for half a day and despite a no reserving sun lounger rule before 9am this started to happen a lot towards them end of the holiday esoecially in the adult only area hence needs to be better monitored. Also would really benefit from a family /children’s section of the main dining room since there were a lot of young children there running around and screaming which put us off eating there . Would definitely return to this Hotel

We recently stayed at the Vangelis Hotel in Protaras as a family of four (all-inclusive), and overall it was a fantastic experience that we’d happily recommend to other families. The hotel itself is in a great location, just a short walk from the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. The facilities are very family-friendly, and our kids (aged 3 and 6) had a wonderful time. The entertainment team was excellent—always so enthusiastic and engaging with the children. Our little ones especially loved the kids’ activities and mini-disco, which gave us parents a chance to relax knowing they were entertained and having fun. The staff at the Vangelis Hotel really stood out during our stay. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and eager to help. From check-in to housekeeping to the bar staff, the service felt genuine and welcoming, which made a big difference to the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The food was good with plenty of choice, though we did find it a little repetitive over the course of our stay. That said, everything was fresh and well-prepared, and there was always something for the kids to eat. Since we were all-inclusive, it was very convenient, but we did also enjoy exploring local restaurants in Protaras for a bit of variety. The pool area was well maintained and never felt overcrowded, even in peak times, and there were always loungers available. The atmosphere was lively but still family-oriented, which suited us perfectly. All in all, Vangelis Hotel delivered a really enjoyable holiday. It ticked all the boxes for a family getaway—friendly staff, great entertainment, a good location, and comfortable accommodation. With just a little more variety in the food offering, it would be spot on. We’d definitely consider returning in the future and would recommend it to families looking for a fun and welcoming stay in Protaras.

Hotel is situated in great place, near the sea. The food is amazing too. Stuff is incredibly helpful and dedicated to guests. Thank You Guys for a great holiday experience. We had a great room in block 3. Large suite 4th floor- overlooked the 'theme park' but not noisy at night. Very clean and despite the shower leaking onto the floor every time, we had enough towels to soak it up. The food was good- very varied but I think if you were Vegan you may struggle. Could do with better labelling of food such as meat or chilli etc. Staff were attentive and friendly and a big shout out to the Nepalese waiters/waitresses. The only thing was the smoking policy. We had been there for 4 nights and never seen anyone smoke in the dining room on the balcony area but one night someone lit up and thank fully we had eaten and just moved to finish our drinks. I am aware that Cyprus has a VERY lax policy on smoking but I really think the dining area with lots of children around is not the place. Staff seemed uncertain as to whether it was allowed or not and the hotel app suggested not in the dining areas.

So I have just returned from my 2 week stay at The Vangelis. We had our at least 70 of our wedding guests stay at the hotel with us and I must say the staff of Vangelis from reception, to the bar staff, to the entertainment staff, buffet staff and the cleaners were all unreal! They were on hand to help with everything!!! The location is right on the strip and a 5 min walk from the beach! Location is perfect... The food at dinner did get a little repetitive in which we decided to eat out a few nights which that was great but the breakfast and snack bar was perfect! The salads though were unreal and i don't eat salads! But I had to be careful as I was all inclusive and had my suit to fit into! But the salads made it a joy! Me and my wife Steph would like to thank everyone at vangelis for looking after us and our guests! Because we booked so many in with them the complimented us with a free late check out which was superb as we have kids :)! Thank you Vangelis! We will be back....

We stayed at vangelis from 15th september, it was our first stay at vangelis and from our arrival (very early in the morning) we were greeted by happy smiling faces. Steven (I think on reception) was bright and cheerful despite it being 2am or so! When we got to the room it exceeded our expectations, it was more spacious than I anticipated and fabulously clean. Our bed was a nightmare, it was so comfy we diidnt want to get out of it 😂Throughout the trip this did not change the housekeeping staff do an amazing job. The unexpected bonus of pools towels, which you can change 3 times a week was great and the little extras supplied in the room were amazing. We picked the vangelis because of its location near fig tree bay as we love the beach and the strip and have been to the area many times before. As the vangelis is located on the strip and our room was located right there I expected a certain level of noise, there was none, which was lovely. The safe was easy to operate as was the air con. When I had an issue with the hot was (my issue not the hotels) the maintenance man was very kind and patient in explaining what I was doing wrong. Literally every member of staff was welcoming and friendly, special shout out to Ionna, Anna, Rapesh and the rest of the bar team. Great friendly service even when I ordered some thing weird like milkshake with malibu! The restaurant staff were amazingly helpful, my husband was in a mobility scooter and they couldn't have been more accommodating even when he nearly ran them over our first evening coming out of the lift 😂 The food was good, i have had more choice for AI elsewhere but not necessarily the quality. Having said that we never went hungry and enjoyed every meal we ate. Hats off to the chef 👨🏼‍🍳 All I all I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and will definitely be returning. 2 couples stayed in B block. Soooo pleased with our rooms (Large in Size) which was wonderful, also a sea view which is rare to receive when not requested - lovely bonus! The cleaners did a great job )they were in every day). The receptionist’s, I could not complain . Every member of the team are polite and courteous. (Dheeraj always keen to please) My hairdryer was not working properly and this was changed with haste! We had some lovely food in the restaurant! Compliments to the chef!! Alex front of house very welcoming as well as all the staff were. Plates taken away swiftly and the bar service was quick. 3 minutes walk to the beach (loved the beach, clear sea’s and sandy- further along a few rocks here and there.) and the strip is great. Very clean area. GREAT STAY - we will be back at some point 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Rooms are amazing and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful Hotel is literally just off the main strip Quite a bit of moving shade around the 2 pools but plenty of sunbeds which allows you to lmove around. Drinks are not the best quality ( unless you pay for premium brands), very sugary and the rum tastes like bubblegum !?!! Buffet food - amazing choice of salads and dips. Cooked breakfast bacon is not bad at all if you get a bit that's cooked well, sausages are Richmond type, fried eggs can be cold if you get one off the hotplate ( try to get one just cooked) . Choice of 2 Soups each meal and these changed daily. Themed nights where a small section is made for what the theme is...sushi or Mexican etc. Ice cream is quite cheap and full of ice so not creamy like gelato. Plenty of bowls of yogurt and wise variety of seeds nuts, granola and even cut comb honey.. Evening entertainment ... always something on each night but shows are budget type.

The restaurant Robola itself was really beautifully well set appointed, very refined dining. The staff were very attentive. The food selection was excellent , fresh and mouthwatering. In particular I want to mention the head waiter Kyriskos who was really attentive, polite, and really made the dining experience unforgettable. He treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant ( while not ignoring all his other customers). He was able to recommend the wine that I wanted just from my clumsy description and even spiced items which we’re not even on the menu. Great example I mentioned that I wanted to try separate coffee and separate feta cheese and he was able to make a phone call and materialise it as if by magic. My Dean experience added so much value to my whole holiday and I’m really grateful to him and all his staff including the chefs that are working so hard
