Xtabi Resort

This was my 5th time staying at Xtabi in Sea Cottage #4. So I knew to expect some rustic accommodations. But this place has unfortunately gone wayyyy down hill which is such a bummer because it has such an amazing location. Cottage #4 has never exactly been the cleanest, but this time is was just downright dirty. There were layers of dust on several surfaces, piles of sand on the floor that had been swept...but never put in the trash, the bathroom wasn't very clean either. The garbage was not taken away each day and would draw ants (I know this is a tropical island...but take the garbage when you come to clean!) Two of us were staying there and had to pretty much beg for a towel and washcloth EACH day. One evening after still not having been left a washcloth (after several times asking) I went to the front desk and asked AGAIN and was handed a dirty one that a gentleman found behind the counter. It had rust all over it. I honestly couldn't believe it. Also they maids did not leave enough toilet paper. We ran out and and would have to go ask for more EVERY SINGLE TIME. We wanted to play cards outside and the lights did not work, we did ask for someone to come fix it and they sent someone finally on the 5th (and final) day we were there. I used to eat most meals at Xtabi when I was staying there....not anymore. The food isn't what it used to be either. This all makes me so sad...because it was one of my favorite places in the world. But there are much nicer places you can stay on the cliffs for the same price. I may go back to visit for a day to snorkel but don't think I will be back as a guest unless things changed. :(

Cons Poor customer service. Fridge is not included instead has to be rented at a separate price. Feel as if i was at aMotel. Would Not Recommend. Refund is not applicable. Pictures are provided. Pro Lots of trees.

Xtabi resorts on the cliffs was great experience. We stayed in the cottage by the cliffs and paid $20 USD ac. It's near ricks cafe and a lot of beautiful beaches. If you're a good swimmer or into snorkeling, xtabi cliff resort is a great option. Would be nice If room had a microwave, it didn't but the staff asked the chef to reheat our leftovers There are a caves to explore. Fridge was pretty good. Xtabi restaurant menu was decent

Cannot say enough good things about Xtabi. The property is magical. It is situated on the cliffs of the West End of Negril. You can cliff jump into the crystal clear water. Snorkeling is right off the property. I saw a manta ray swimming right next to the property! The insight restaurant is great. Only a 5 minute taxi ride from 7 mile beach, but away from the all night partying of the 7 mile resorts. They have a taxi service on premises. Donna the manager is so kind and helpful. Xtano is literally paradise.

It is the West End and this property has beautiful cottages right on the cliffside. I would travel with local drivers the hotel uses to go down the beach. The food is excellent.

Ate at at Xtabi this years for the first time aster it being recommended several tinges in past years. I have to say that it was one of the weaker meal meals that we ate of the 14 days, The stuffed chicken was well over cooked

Instead of going to Rick's, we went here. It was OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE. Take the stairs down on each side to the caves that oead to the water. My wife who hates everything, absolutely loved the french Fries at this place. CLIFF Jumping was outstanding, and the caves toped it off.

We've stayed at Xtabi many times over the years and loved every minute of it, every time. If you want to stay at the most beautiful and intimate place, with the most loving vibe on the island, check Xtabi.

Xtabi cottage 5 is where we stayed. Positive: it had a private terrace that led down to a semi private swimming ladder which lets you swim off the cliff. Very nice. The room was shabby, had no shampoo (we were told we had to go buy our own) and was 25 feet away from an extremely noisy road. It is also on the other side of a fence where the bar/restaurant is, so all that noise figures into your stay. The restaurant was mediocre and had terrible drinks and service. This place is a has-been. Too bad. It is a superb location.

Really enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean and staff were very friendly. The facility offers daily cleaning so it’s pretty difficult to be a mess. View is unbeatable and food is good.
