"Oasis of calm"

We only spent one night here as we travelling around Lake Atitlan but the hotel provided a relaxing and reinvigorating stay. Clean, large rooms, powerful showers (needed after hiking the Acatenango volcano!), and a beautiful garden with thermal pools, lots of early morning songbirds, and an array of plants. Perfect pitstop on our journey. Ongoing building work was the only minor annoyance. The town itself is perfect for a day although nightlife is very limited…that may have been just the time of the year we visited, but Panajachel is certainly not as lively as San Pedro on the other side of the lake.

Great location and large rooms. Safe, comfortable. Only had a brief stay as heading off early the next day but easily could have stayed there as our base and then done day trips out to the villages around the lake. Close to good eateries and good value markets. We didn’t have time to try their hot springs sadly, but others were enjoying them when we arrived - looked good.
