Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Gadsden

Comfort was fine

The soap was left open in the shower from the previous guest. A used bar of soap was in the shower. That just makes me want to throw up. I didn’t say anything to the front desk because she was very kind and we were only staying one night. I didn’t notice it until I was already in the shower, so the cleaning person probably just didn’t see it, but it caught me by surprise. I just wish that I didn’t have to see it.

The staff was very friendly. Especially Niki at the front desk. Hotel clean. Breakfast was great.

Great location. Breakfast was good.

Staff was rude. Our first rooms door was open because the lock would not go in. The toilet paper had to be exchanged out due to it being brown. There was a foul odor in the room. The room was not clean. There was something sticky all over the table in the room. Trash was overflowing in every trash can outside and in the lobby.

Had to take toilet lid off to reset the float on the toilet ever time we needed to flush

The lady at the front desk was very kind. We checked into our room only to popcorn all over the couch, dirty towels on the floor, and shoe prints all over the floor in the hall & in the bathroom. They quickly moved us to a different room.

We were there for a family trip so we had two rooms. After the front desk moved us to a different room (original room had popcorn all over the couch, dirty towels on the floor, and shoe prints all over the hallway and bathroom) we moved our luggage to the new room and helped our family members get settled in their room only to be greeted by bugs ALL OVER the window and coming through the air conditioning unit. We spoke with the front desk & they apologized & offered to move us to a different room, again, but we were told because of the weather the bugs would most likely be in every room.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet has some daily changes & was delicious. the room was clean & the bed was comfortable. This location is directly off I-59 with easy access to several restaurants, gas & shopping. I have stayed here before & will stay here again on my next trip to Gadsden.
