Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Downtown / The Gateway

Location

I had called to check if the hot tub was working before booking, and it was barely functioning and it was not clean. The TV and fridge were also not working.

This hotel is incredible. The room was spotless and cozy, the bed very comfortable, and the sheets and towels were soft. The breakfast was amazing as well, with a variety of protein options. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the Salt Palace Convention Center. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or the gym, though I wish I had.

Staff were helpful, and the location was great!

The walls were a little thin, and could hear people next door as well as some outside traffic noise.

Very friendly staff. Was very clean. Great place to stay if you are going to an event at the Delta Center

We had to pay for parking which I thought was dumb. If you are staying in the hotel you should be able to park for free.

Convenient to free downtown trax. Breakfast is good enough.

Assigned a handicap accessible room. Sink is situated in direct view of beds, no privacy. Had I been traveling with a colleague instead of a spouse, it would be an uncomfortable situation.
