Energy hospitality very clean

The only truly good thing about this hotel is the location. However, even the location wasn’t ideal for my business travel—but that is not the hotel’s fault, as it was my own mistake when choosing the area before making the booking.

Room and Facilities: “The rooms are very dark in the evening, and many of the sockets are loose or falling apart, which gives the impression that the hotel is not maintained to a high standard. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, meaning I had no ability to adjust the temperature in my own room. Everyone has different tolerance levels for heat and cold, yet because the system was set to winter mode, I could not lower the temperature. On the first day, the room was at 26°C. I initially thought the air conditioning was faulty, but the handyman explained that it was simply due to centralized control. The only option he suggested was to open the window—which would bring in all the noise from outside. I found this quite unreasonable. Communication Issues: “Upon arrival, I informed the receptionist that my schedule might change and that there was a possibility I would need to check out earlier. I asked whether I would receive a refund for the unused nights. She didn’t have an answer and told me someone would get back to me. Unfortunately, despite asking three times, nobody followed up. Eventually, I was told that because I had booked through a third party without a cancellation option, no refund would be possible. I had no issue with the policy itself—the problem was the lack of communication.” Ironing and Laundry Service: “As someone who travels frequently for work and has visited 82 countries, staying mostly in 5-star hotels, this was the first hotel I’ve stayed at that did not have an iron and ironing board in the room. Some hotels do not keep them permanently in the room, but they always provide them upon request free of charge. This hotel instead relied on a laundry service that charged extremely high prices and only opened after 10 a.m. This is very frustrating—how is a business traveller supposed to wait until 10 a.m. to have a shirt ironed before a morning meeting? Next day 2 phone calls and total of 40 minutes waited for my clothing to be collected.
