Brewery Gulch Inn & Spa

This is the ONLY place to choose when you are staying in Mendocino. Yes there are many options but this is the whole package and then some! Been going for probably 18+ years and have stayed probably as many times if not more. There is new ownership (still miss Guy & Sara) but GM Sarah and all the crew including Iza, Josh and all of them make us feel like family spoil and take care of us. Worth every penny. When people look at prices and say how expensive places are we'll look at everything you get. Amazing room. Wonderful staff. Full breakfasts. Wine and beer and apps hour. (Side note: book their 5 day vacay avail November-May each year). Can't wait for our next visit.

The staff were friendly, and the inn was beautiful. It was nice having breakfast and dinner provided.

The bed in the Pine room needs to be replaced. With two people in it you end up in the middle like a sink hole. The tub shower is awkward to turn on and off because of the fixed partition. You have to actually get in the tub to turn the shower or tub on. I would also like to recommend providing stevia. I bring my own, bea cause I don’t want artificial sweeteners.

Among the best small hotel experiences.

The breakfast was extraordinary - delicious and excellent service. The staff, including servers and cleaners, have obviously spent some time traveling themselves because of the small touches everywhere. For example, the coffee service and fresh pastries 24/7, cold drinks available everywhere, blankets in the room with the fireplace, and so on. Small examples, perhaps, yet indicative of thoughtful management and staff.

It was challenging to find because the "GPS" address doesn't identify the turn-off and driveway. Some signs on the road would be helpful. Because we were in Mendocino for an event, we didn't get to experience the famed box, which appeared to be among the highlights of the Inn. I'm wondering if there would be a way for guests to experience the boxes at other times during the day.

This is a really lovely place. Incredible food, wine, views, and accommodations. Can’t wait to come back.

It is a beautiful property that exudes warmth. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Inn is smaller in size which adds to it’s uniqueness and sense of Intimacy. The breakfasts and wine hour meals were excellent.

Excellent place to stay. It was well appointed with wonderful amenities and great staff. The breakfast was over the top and included!
