Lumberville 1740 House

A picturesque and quaint motel style Inn along the Delaware River. All rooms have a view of the river. Each room is unique (a very sweet staff lady gave me the 50 cent tour since everyone else had checked out and we had the place to ourselves). Bar and restaurant is comfortable and rustic. Closest Mondays. Breakfast each day included. Our room (22) had a gas fireplace and a rear door which opened to a stone patio.The only name I caught was Bobbie. But her along with everyone, the cook, bartender, maids, front desk, was super sweet and attentive. Located south of Frenchtown, north of New Hope, 10 - 15 minutes from Peddler's Village, we did it all! Definitely coming back the next time we want to take a break and spend some time in the area. This place is beautiful. The breakfast is so good, and they seem very organized with just everything here. The views outside the room are amazing. The rooms are very pretty and cozy, and clean. We are very happy that we chose to stay here and will definitely be back again. :)

Beautiful view of the Delaware! Very comfortable room. Close to the General Store.

It was my girlfriend and myself’s 4 year anniversary and we had an unforgettable experience. The room was just as it was pictured and even better than the photos online!! The room had a very rustic, old fashioned them to it and I truly was in my glory. I love these types of rooms out in the wilderness. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. It was just a beautiful and picturesque experience. We already both said we will be coming back here next year!! Thank you to the wonderful staff as they were more than pleasant with attending to our needs. We had questions about our thermostat and one of the women came to our room and helped us adjust the thermostat to our liking. We had a patio and the of our back outside was just jaw dropping stunning. The serenity was just extraordinary. I took so many pictures and videos of our room and the outdoors. We ate breakfast at the restaurant/bar next door and the food was wonderful. I have a severe dairy allergy and the staff there was able to accommodate my dairy allergy by making me scrambled eggs. I also did bring some of my own food as well. My girlfriend and I could not have been more thrilled and pleased with our stay in Lumberville at 1740 House. If I could I would give this experience a 100/100 stars!! We LOVED IT HERE!!! I will definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be off the grid for a while and just wants to go explore and be one with nature!!

Quaint, close to local action. Clean, thoughtful

This is a gem of an inn. Historic property, quaint, with a beautiful view of the Delaware River Canal and state park. Friendly and courteous staff welcomed us and escorted us to our room promptly upon arrival. The included breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant offers great food and wine selections in a cozy atmosphere.

Adorable place, wonderful staff, and gorgeous access to the river. The rooms could use a little update, but overall a nice place to stay.

Great stay

We stayed her for an overnight getaway. It was perfect. Bed could be a little softer but everything else was great! We took a ride into New Hope and spent the day walking around. Super easy to navigate to and from the property.
