Admiral Peary Inn Bed & Breakfast

Beautiful house in a lovely town. The bedroom was big and comfortable. Loved the common area downstairs - and breakfast was delicious!

The stairs to the room were a bit steep :)

Gut gelegen, sehr angenehm, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück. Originell und phantasievoll eingerichtet.

Breakfast was wonderful. Well thought out. Options for everyone. Love the casual atmosphere. Loved meeting new people at breakfast. So many spots to curl up and relax.

Didn't like bright light shining in room from outside light. Shades helped somewhat, but my son is sensitive to light.

Prachtig pand in rustige omgeving met mooi klassieke inrichting. Het ontbijt was heel goed en in de omgeving lekker gegeten.

De thermostaat werkte niet in de kamer en na e-mail contact kwam er geen oplossing. Dus hadden we het echt koud in de kamer

The scenic drive to the property.

We arrived to find that that we had been 'upgraded' to a 19th century German themed room, decorated in browns and oranges. We politely asked to be moved to the room we had booked (Admirals Quarters), as this is the one we liked from the web site photos. After a lengthy text exchange, someone (the owner/landlady?) turned up and said we really wouldn't like the Admirals Quarters, which seemed bizarre, so we asked to look, and make our own mind up. As suspected, it turns out they had sold it to someone else, and tried to fob us off with an inferior, hideously decorated room. The lady then told us to 'Speak to Booking.com', and promptly left, leaving us to find alternative accommodation. Customer service was absolutely appalling.
