Fairfield Inn & Suites Twentynine Palms - Joshua Tree National Park

Nice clean room. We had a little issue with the AC and they corrected the situation quickly😀

Every staff person we talked to was friendly and helpful. The building itself is accurately described by other reviewers: dated, no-frills, not many power outlets in the rooms. You get your basic needs met: clean rooms, lobby coffee all day (tastes better in the morning), hot oatmeal at breakfast, hot water (stained tub). Light sleepers or sound-sensitive people may have some trouble. The AC units are loud so not only do you hear the one in your own room, you also hear the ones from neighboring rooms going on/off. Rooms near the flagpole hear frequent metal-on-metal clicking noises. The property is near the main road so you'll hear trucks, mufflers, motorcycles, etc. Housekeeping available upon request.

Parking charge? You are in Twenty Nine Palms - wide open space for literally miles and 15.00 per night parking charge? Crazy money grab…

We were expecting a little more as this was booked by our travel agent (will be speaking with them too) Average hotel, a little worn. Overall friendly staff. Breakfast room was spacious, average/good breakfast. Didn't like paying for parking!, there's nothing here apart from a supermarket with its own parking, so its another tax? We would look elsewhere for accommodation down the road in Joshua Tree or Yucca valley.

There was pink mold in the bathtub so I couldn’t bathe my children. Had to give them a shower which they hated. Also there was mold starting to grow in the wallpaper in the bathroom. It needed to be wiped down. The A/C unit took hours to cool down below 72 degrees. Other than that it was fine. We enjoyed the free breakfast.

It was conveniently located

The food wasn't very good. Oatmeal so thick 2nd day it wasn't edible. Seemed short staffed. Same person checking us in mid afternoon was doing breakfast that next morning. Very noisy. Wasn't real clean. Lightning was bad.

This Fairfield Inn is not up to Marriott standards. The room was showing age with worn furniture and a soft mattress. There are very few power outlets (no USB slots) and none accessible near the bed. It is ridiculous there is a $10 daily parking charge when this hotel (and town) is close to the middle of nowhere. My weekend rate was over $200 and to add on a parking charge is an insult. If visiting Joshua Tree NP may be better just to stay in Palm Springs.

Close to Nat Park

Very close to Theatre 29, which offers wonderful plays and musicals! Outstanding commmunity theatre at a practically professional level!
