The Delafield Hotel

Made us wait over an hour for check in while we watched numerous other guests arrive before official check in time and go straight up. No one else was turned away. Confirmed my phone number and said they would call when the room was ready, but did not do so. At 3 pm, we asked again to check in and alas, the room was ready! Hotels.com rate was lower than the rate they quoted on their website. Does the lower rate come with lesser service?

Place was perfect for our 2-day annual business meeting. We met during the day in ID's wine room which was perfect for the 6 of us to have enough room to work and have room for the video monitors, and white boards the hotel set up. Rebecca and the staff were attentive servers during our stay and kept the coffee and snacks coming throughout the day and lunch was wonderful. At the end of the day, the bartender was awesome as we would tell her what we typically like to drink, and she crafted a custom cocktaill to our tastes. The one thing I would suggest/change is that the hotel would add more light to the hotel rooms and use the same temperature of light bulbs in the room, preferably warm bulbs. The room was dark and a mixture of cool and warm light. Other than that it was great!

Staff was amazing

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and inviting. I can't wait to come back!

We were very impressed - great, spacious and clean room with a very interesting design. Staff was excellent. Breakfast bar was a bit disappointing but other than that we loved it!

This was our second stay. We loved it the first time we stayed there 2 years prior. They do some things right - spacious rooms, amazing bathroom amenities, it’s quiet and very clean. We visit Delafield several times a year to visit our daughter and son-in-law, who live within walking distnce of the hotel. Never again. This visit, the air conditioning couldn’t get the room below 74 degrees, so we were moved to another room, and we had the same problem. We were asked at check-in if we wanted housekeeping to clean our room, we said no. The first day, we came back after a family outing and our room had been cleaned and our personal belongings had been rearranged. At our first visit 2 years prior, we told them the luggage cart wheels needed air, this time we had the exact same issue. The door to the ice room squeaks loud enough to raise the dead - so we told the desk, it was never addressed. Theere were burned out light bulbs in the bathroom - something the housekeeping staff should notice and replace. For 3 days of our 4-day stay, they had painters painting the hallways so we had to navigate around buckets and paint trays and walk over drop cloths. (Not exactly the boutique experience.) The first stay, our bathtub had this wonderful air and light function. It was a major reason we went back this time. I reserved the same type of room and even though their website states all rooms feature “Jetta Soak Hydrotherapy” bathtubs, the tub in our room simply held water. No air, no,lights. When we returned home, I sent them an email summarizing what they do right and what went wrong during our visit and they never replied. I followed up 2 weeks ago, still no reply. They clearly do not care about return guests.

I love this boutique hotel. Looks old but is new and very nice. Rooms are nicely appointed and the have fancy showers and tubs. Beds have very nice linens. You can walk to the quaint downtown for dinner and the workout place Nextdoor is amazing.

Lovely property with many amenities. Although I've been to many conferences at The Hotel, this was my first overnight stay. I'll be back.

I normally don't stay at such nice hotels and am I glad I did. I loved it. The room was spacious, the bathroom luxurious and the gym next door is the nicest gym I have ever used. Also, the location was terrific; it is in the beautiful downtown with plenty of wonderful places for coffee and meals and great walking trails. I was there for 3 nights and am so glad I chose the Delafield Inn.

Great place! Highly recommend
