Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta

We dined at Bocado’s Steakhouse for our 15 year anniversary dinner and let me just say this has by far been the best dining experience we have ever had! Not only was the food a 10 out of 10, but the service was nothing like we have ever experienced. Our waiter, Ricardo, was amazing. He helped us with wine selection, and food suggestions that were on point. We started our dinner with Smoked Old Fashions and crab cake and shrimp cocktail appetizers followed by the Beet Salad and the Iceberg Salad which were amazing. Our entree was a 10 oz Tenderloin Filet cooked to perfection and Ricardo suggested to accompany it with their Chimichuri sauce which was SO GOOD! They followed with our anniversary dessert which was a delicious Chocolate Lava Cake and the highlight of the night—a table side Mexican Coffee which was a show in itself! We were blown away by the wonderful food and impeccable service and can’t wait to return!

This is our second time coming to this resort but this time we brought our family to experience the same excellent customer service, food quality, variety of drinks, friendly staff, and unparalleled hospitality. Kudos to all the staff who made our stay a memorable one. Particularly to Jose, Humberto, Roberto, and our housekeeping lady, Cynthia, who kept our room clean, organized and well stocked.

I spent five weeks at Garza Blanca, Puerto Vallarta. Three weeks solo and two with my daughter in a beach unit. In the early morning and evening, we sat on the private balcony of our suite watching activities in and around the Banderas Bay. We saw a humpback whale quietly feeding, blowing his spout and splashing his tail and pelicans dive bombing for fish with frigates soaring overhead and the most amazing sunsets. Days we spent in a cabana on the beach getting treated like royalty by the friendly staff. A special thank you to the butler team (in alphabetical order): Antonio, Felipe, Jose, Roberto, Victor, Zuno. And our wonderful housekeeper who kept our suite spotless: Araceli. And to Jasmine who led us on a snorkelling tour. The poolside serving staff were wonderful and made me feel at home. Just a few of the people who always greeted me with a friendly smile and knew my name: Tony, Ivan, Oscar, Salvador, Mike, Tito, and, of course, Xavier who gave us colourful flowers to tuck into our hair. (There are many more great staff.) Also a thank you to the concierge staff especially Jessica and Karla. Look forward to seeing you all again in May.

The rooms in tower 5 were spectacular Service was impeccable especially Jaime Gustavo, our friendly professional waiter. Evelyn the concierge was particularly helpful. Highly recommend

This was our first trip, and it could not have been any better. All the staff are extremely professional and very nice. 10/10 to our housekeeper Ms. Blanca Guzmen. Highly recommend the all inclusive stay.

Hotel is very pricy and far from luxurious. Ocean front rooms are so noisy and outdated. Very busy highway is just few metres behind the beach, pool and ocean front buildings. Beach was under construction all the time during our stay so we could watch trucks moving the rocks all day long. Only two restaurants for the families. Very slaw check in, almoust an hour. Chech out fast but they told us that we would not be charged for the damage deposit but they charged us even before our check out and for no reason. When I tried to contact them and to talk to the manager, nobody answered the call. You have to pay 10000 pesos what is almoust 800 CAD at the check in and they charged us during our stay. Person who checked us out said that there wouldn’t be any charge on the credit card but it was.

The best stay ever. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Mario, Ronaldo, and Jorge took care of us at Blanca Blue! Roberto made our pool experience super fun!

Be cautious that this hotel may not honor the room type you reserve. Upon arrival, we expected the honeymoon suite, which we had confirmed with concierge several months prior, but instead we were put in a different room with no notice. We also encountered two other couples in the same predicament, which proves that this is a recurring issue. Our vacation started on a rocky note due to the wasted time spent speaking with management and the inability to fully unpack. Additionally, I didn’t appreciate concierge’s attempt to schedule us in timeshare presentation the moment we arrived. On the plus side, the hotel itself is a beautiful property with many dining options. We really appreciated the excellent pool side service that Sergio provided.

This was our 4th trip to Garza Blanca and as usual the staff was incredible. We looked forward to seeing Javier on the beach, he is such a dedicated employee. This year’s standout employee for us was Roberto “Bob” Gallardo, the waiter on the beach. What a hard job he has but he always had the biggest smile! It’s amazing to be in the presence of people who love their jobs and who make the choice daily to be of service to others. Thank you Bob and Javier for taking such great care of us!

This was our second visit to Garza Blanca and it was just as wonderful this time as last. The resort is very nice with a small beach, relaxing pools, and tasty restaurants which had plenty of vegan options for us. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Every single one of the dozens of staff members we interacted with were friendly, gracious, and welcoming. We were treated like VIPs throughout our stay. I want to give an extra shout out to the folks at Blanca Blue, the restaurant off the main lobby. After only our second buffet breakfast we were not only greeted by name, but our desired Bloody Marias were placed in front of us without asking and within moments of taking our seats. Thanks especially to Jorge, Pablo, Mario, Junior, and Omar. They all went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect vacation. Hopefully we’ll be able to return next year!
