"Luxury, relaxation and good value only a few hours away from Southern California"

The resort was beautiful! The property is stunning, and our room had a perfect ocean view. The service was top quality and so was the food. While I speak Spanish, my friend does not, but everyone speaks perfect English. Our favorite restaurant was the Italian restaurant but all other restaurants have amazing food. The bar service really made us feel spoiled ! Lastly, the spa not only has a beautiful view but the hydrotherapy and massage made us feel pampered and relaxed, which was the whole point of this trip. It was very convenient to book our excursions on-site. The bellmen were very helpful and a wealth of information. We enjoyed ourselves very much!

"Great family destination"

Had a great time. Had modest expectations as it was an all inclusive - and thought the accommodations and food would reflect that. We were very pleasantly surprised. Service was outstanding as were many of the restaurants… Gio Noemi and Ruben at Bocado for breakfast went above and beyond. Highly recommend Hiroshi and Dao for dinner and the view, food and service at Bocado for breakfast. The spa was top notch. This was my first time in PV and was such an easy trip, safe, beautiful geography-a great, very reasonable family get away with three college students. Recommend a tequila factory and tasting tour if you have time… our sons enjoyed golfing…saw several whales during breakfast. Thank you for a great time!

"Our 9th visit to this beautiful resort"

We have been coming to the Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta almost every year since 2013 always staying in the beach towers and have seen some immense changes in the property, some good and some not so good. The older beach buildings are starting to show some wear and tear as would be expected over 12 years but they are being well maintained. The furnishing must be being replaced on a regular basis as they show little wear. Some of the appliances in the kitchen are showing their age but on the whole still function properly. The beach has gone through a number of transformations since 2013 the pristine flour like sand that covered the beach was heavily eroded away during a storm and has subsequently been re-established over the years by removing rocks and building breakwaters until the beach is once again one of the best in the area. A fake reef was being added outside of the breakwaters while we were there this time and will enhance the already wonderful snorkeling available mere steps from the resort. The one thing that seems to remain constant is the dedication of the staff to provide superior service to their guests in a friendly yet professional manner. From the moment you arrive the Bellboys treat you like your are back at your home away from home and that is especially true of Margarito who we have known for many years and he is always willing to assist in any way possible to make your stay the best ever. The front desk staff are always friendly, efficient and professional and always greet you with a smile. The pool waiters work so hard and are attentive to your every need. One who we always find to be special is Ivan who has every quality you could ask for in a waiter and is an excellent ambassador for the resort. We have been lucky the last couple of years to have the same cleaning lady, Rosa, who although she has limited English is able to communicate well enough to ensure our needs are always met. As I like to partake in the resort activities I have got to know many of the activities staff and I always enjoy just how dedicated they are to doing a great job. Tito is always so friendly and helpful and his knowledge of the area is second to none. The younger members of this team are exceptional, Mike, Salvador, Jose, Rod and Jasmine who do everything from ceviche making classes, to hikes to the waterfall and up the mountain, to botanical garden tours, to salsa dancing lessons, to snorkeling, to looking after all of your needs around the pool. As I like to be involved in these activities as do many others it is this group who really make my holiday the best. They are the best doing their best to make the Garza the best. My wife and I look forward to seeing these people every time we come. We did not visit any of the restaurants this time, other than order room service which was always delivered in a timely manner, as we enjoy doing our own cooking using local supplies. We will be returning again next winter and look forward to once again visiting this beautiful resort but more importantly want to see our friends, the staff, again.

"Wonder week at Garza Bianca."

Had great hikes with Jose and Salvador. Jasmine and Tito were outstanding with paddle boarding and kayaking. Tony was amazing waiter at the beach. Food at all the restaurants was fantastic. We particularly loved eating at DAO.

"A well established resort that manages to maintain exceptional standards and continues to evolve and add new options"

We had visited GB many times before but never in December. Perfect time to visit with ideal temperatures and only one half day of light rain. Although now well over 12 years old the resort remains fresh and modern looking. The changes they have made to the beach area are looking good with additional breakwaters built. There is now more sand at the southern end of the beach and easier access. Staff continue to be exceptional - either Jorge at the reception baggage check to all of the amazing Butler team of Jose, Filipe, Nuno etc.

"Luxury pricing, limited access, and unclear value for LUX members"

We are LUX members at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa with 28,000 points. We pay USD $15,000 every year in maintenance fees, which sets very high expectations for service, flexibility, and transparency. Unfortunately, the reality does not match what is sold. When trying to make a December reservation, we were informed that we must pay the following year’s maintenance fee in advance, yet we still do not receive the dates or unit level we request. Most recently, we were told that to secure access for 2027, we would need to pay USD $30,000 in advance—which raises serious questions about logic, fairness, and value. Even when requesting high-level mountain units, availability is consistently denied, despite our LUX status and point level. The “luxury” positioning feels more like premium pricing with standard access. The most frustrating part is the lack of accountability. We have not been able to find a single person who can truly resolve issues or take ownership. Staff are polite, but the response is always the same: “There’s nothing we can do.” For a resort that markets exclusivity and personalized service, this is a major operational gap. Garza Blanca is a beautiful property, but a luxury brand is defined by how it treats its most committed clients, not just by its views. At this level of financial commitment, members deserve clarity, consistency, and real benefits—not more upfront payments with fewer guarantees. At the moment, the value proposition does not align with the cost.
