Rayrigg Villa Windermere (Room Only)

Great location but the room was off, there were a number of stains and marks across the walls, wallpaper peeling in corners, dust and cobwebs. We were told the carpets were ‘damp’ due to cleaning prior to our visit, but were surprised at the stale smell of our room, didnt reflect this.

Aside from the shower being average, this place wasnt enjoyable. I would’ve much rather have paid abit extra for a clean and fresh room. We also had a couple above us arguing very loudly past 11PM at night. I know that’s not the hosts fault, but bear this in mind when booking.

3 bed room okay for one or two. Near the city centre. Equipped with everything you need. Lots of flyers for activities and information.

When you walk in, you’re immediately hit with the smell of chlorine. The room itself had a damp, musty odor, almost mouldy. The bathroom was even worse, even though no visible mould could be seen apart from the window area, which is hard to repaint. The towels were covered with small hairs and lint, and when you tried to dry off, they stuck uncomfortably to the skin. Luckily, I had brought my own towel.

1)下面的兒童床沒有整理，棉被翻開還有頭髮 水瓶。 2)地毯『非常濕』，雖然反應後有拿吸塵器處理，但是還是很濕，整個房間都是潮濕的味道。

Great location, very charming structure

Needs a good cleaning, mold in the bathroom, no staff physically present, hotel WiFi wasn’t working. Among the several places we’ve stayed in the U.K. This place was a true disappointment.

Location was good

Our room was on the bottom floor so we could hear absolutely everything. People coming and going front door banging closed. Feel with a quick fix front door would close better and not bang shut every single time someone came in. The tv doesn’t work. Room smelt damp and carpet smelt damp too. Single glazed windows I could hear McClures at stupid o’clock felt like they were in the room with me. Not worth the money we paid at all. I feel the money they have got and getting from people they could fix some of the issues they have. Really disappointed and the fact there was NO one around I could not talk to anyone about it.

I could not sleep for even a minute during my stay because of the terrible mattresses. Every time I moved, it felt like I was bouncing on a trampoline. We book a hotel expecting comfort and a good night’s sleep, but unfortunately this was the opposite. Very disappointing experience.

My mother-in-law booked this room last minute for us as we had travelled to the Lake District and had been let down by another property we had booked. The photos of the property looked nice. It was only after booking that I read the reviews. I was not looking forward to the booking, but it was getting late, we were running out of options and the room was very reasonably priced. This is my honest review of Rayrigg Villa After booking, I was sent a pass code to access the property. Upon entering, there was a very faint musty smell in the hall. Not too strong. Our room was room 5 at the very top of the house. I was pleasantly surprised just how lovely the room was. Nicely decorated, nice bedding, it had everything you would need. 2 bedside lamps, a t.v. kettle, tea and coffee etc. A hair dryer, a fan, an iron and ironing board. An ensuite.There was a shared kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer that guests were welcome to use. The place was spotless. Our bedroom was at the back of the house so we didn't hear much traffic. It had a bus stop( we don't drive), right opposite the property. It is in a convenient position for shops, bars and restaurants and for travelling around the Lake District. I honestly don't know why it had bad reviews? Although they were from 23/24. I can honestly say that I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing location right in the centre of Windermere. Nice clean room. Great shared kitchen facilities. Easy self check in. We had a great stay here, will certainly consider returning. Thank you
