Kahana Villa

The fees (tourist tax & cleaning) I had to pay do not align with the amount shown on the booking. Thus, in total, I paid around $300 more than expected. I showed the reception the booking information; however, they insisted that I had paid the invoice. In agreement with other reviews, I confirm that the rooms also have cockroaches

Perfect accommodation, excellent location. The suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a long stay. Everything was very clean and well maintained.

Two negative aspects: the check-in desk closes at 3 PM even though check-in starts at 4 PM. There is also no air conditioning in the master bedroom.

I love this affordable place to stay with our family . Location is amazing , beach with turtles the best ! Thank you very much !

Location

The room was very dirty and the shower did not drain at all. From the minute, you turned to the shower water on the bathtub part of the shower started filling up so by the time you were done with your shower, the water was up to your knees.

The living room and dining area were good sized. The kitchen was well stocked. Nice to have the washer/dryer handy in the kitchen area.

The location of the room was bad. The only thing out the sliding glass doors was a wire fence to look at.

The complex is next to a beach, the apartment was very spacious with huge dining room/living room and kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms (and bathrooms) upstairs. There is a pool with jacuzzi and tennis courts in the complex. Parking was easily available. The area was quiet except morning rooster crowing :-D Nearby is a gas station with small convenience shop. The (night) receptionist in Kahana Sands was very nice and extremely helpful. I must say this accommodation exceeded our expectations and if we were to return to Maui again this would be our first and foremost choice!

For those with mobility issues it might cause some trouble to access the rooms as the stairs are rather steep and also both bathrooms are upstairs. One more thing was non-communication (e-mail replies) as our planned arrival was after midnight, I asked the accommodation multiple times in advance if it is OK and on top of that our flight was delayed so we arrived one day later, that being said, I never got any reply but it was not the slightest problem as we could check-in at the partner (Kahana Sands) reception with 24/7 desk.
