Kahana Villa

One of the worst stays we’ve experienced We arrived at 6:30 PM to a closed front office and were told to call the after-hours red phone. We called for over 20 minutes with no answer; someone finally responded after nearly 30 minutes, blaming short staffing. The next day, after waking at 3 AM for Haleakalā sunrise, we returned exhausted to extremely loud drilling and construction noise from the apartment next door. Management promised to look into it and never followed up. We had to personally intervene. We were traveling with my 80-year-old mother, who had just completed a 13-hour flight from Philadelphia. The nonstop noise prevented rest and caused her blood pressure to rise. My wife developed a severe migraine due to the noise, forcing us to cancel our evening plans. The man working next door told us he was the owner of that unit and had already informed Kahana Villa of the scheduled maintenance, yet they still rented us the adjacent apartment. Instead of empathy, management offered $50. Only after escalating through Booking.com were we offered a room change at a different property requiring significant walking—unsuitable for an elderly guest. Wi-Fi never worked, despite repeated complaints. Stressful, poorly managed, and careless. Do not stay here.

Even though it was far from the airport it was a perfect location and place to unwind & reset

Kitchen was too small but the rooms and sitting room was nice & big. No tap outside to wash off sand. Check in at 4 pm but reception closes at 3pm?? Doesn’t make sense.

I liked how close it was to the ocean. I enjoyed being able to walk to captain jack’s for drinks and breakfast. The concierge Louise was very friendly and helpful.

The water heater was leaking pretty bad and water was pouring onto the floor. Also there was a hot tub advertised but we had to find out it was broken by physically walking down there. (A heads up on the website about the broken hot tub would have been helpful) The TV options were extremely limited and the wifi didn’t work.

I liked the big room, has necessities, and a kitchen

We didn’t like how rusted the necessities were. Nor did we like how there was a hole behind the dryer.

Veliký dvoupodlažní apartmán. Dvě ložnice, dvě koupelny, velká kuchyň a obývací pokoj, velká terasa. K dispozici pračka a sušička. Vše bylo v pořádku

Everything was perfect. Condo size was great. I recommend staying there. You can't beat the price.

There are roaches and mosquitoes.
