"A great location."

10.0

The location was perfect for what we needed: situated on the edge of the French Quarter at Canal Street. The suite was spacious, clean, and well decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was there were no bed linen for the sofa sleeper. We checked with the front desk and they told us where to find it but that location was empty. As it was very late we just split the queen bed linens and called it a night. I'm sure the staff would have helped had we pursued it that night. Without a doubt this hotel has become our new New Orleans French Quarter destination.

The location of this hotel was centrally located. The decor was great. The only issues were that there was loud banging at 3am both nights and I didn't know there would be a timeshare presentation.

"Gets the basics down, then try some flair "

6.0

It didn't start off well. I had reserved a handicapped accessible room. When I hobbled myself to the front on my forearm crutches they said, "we don't have that room anymore, is that a problem?". Seriously? That was why I reserved an accessible room. After telling them that yes, it would be an issue, they magically had another handicapped room available. The room itself was less than inviting. Their was poop stains all over the toilet and the comforter was dirty as hell. The "handicapped accessible" shower included a tiled and sloped ramp up (aka a damn slip n slide). The only natural light was from two tiny windows a foot tall at ground level in the bedroom, and the rest of the lighting was terrible. I honestly couldn't find a location anywhere but the bathroom to be able to see the lettering in my book. The fire alarm went off at 2 am the first night, then the clock alarm left set by someone before us went off at 5, and the front desk called at 8 to get us to try to do their timeshare tour. Someone said a flyer under the door saying the laundry room was closed due to a boil water notice. I'm a water engineer. My boxers arent going to give me giardia. But why did they not notify us to not DRINK the water?! Their taste in "art" was terrible. Again, I say that as an engineer. Gluing a chair to the ceiling is not cool or artsy. Maybe invest in some overhead lighting instead. Essentially, the only redeeming quality was the location.

Excellent location on edge of French Quarter, but close to Convention centre, in an old building with natural gas lamps outside (hence the odor some people noticed). Comfy bed. Fun/odd decor; improved lighting in the sitting area would make a better impression, but we enjoyed the place - stayed a week in January.

Location, service, room size, everything was great! We stopped by early to drop our bags, and the desk got us our 2 rooms together and ready earlier than expected. You needed the room key to enter the building and use the elevator/stairs so we felt very safe. If I had to give one negative, the street noise was a bit loud. We would stay here again for sure!

"Very pushy timeshare salesman. "

2.0

Upon arrival, walked in there is a desk of two people who looked like they worked there told them I needed to check in and find parking. The man working there started talking about timeshares. I told him my husband and daughter needed to know where parking was. We had 2 cars holding up traffic. He proceeded talking about a parking garage we could use if we went to a seminar the next morning. I asked if there was parking for the hotel. He said yes but it’s unsecure and pretty far from the hotel but he had a garage we could park at the was secure and down the road that was free as long as we went to this seminar. I told him we probably didn’t want that. He continued to give me his speech while my family was still holding up traffic. This process took about an hour. I told him I would just like to check in and get parked. He sent my husband to his parking garage 5 blocks from the hotel and then proceeded to set me up for a timeshare presentation. I told him I don’t think we want to do that. Then he said we would have to pay for the parking which would be $50. That was fine. I again asked if I could check in and he told me I had to go to the check in desk. Didn’t bother to tell me an hour before check in was the other desk. I think his name was Demichael
