"Worst hotel stay I've ever had."

Comfortable bed, basic room facilities.

No mention on the website that the car park was over the road and at a cost of £10 per day. The duty manager refused to waive this cost despite the website not being clear. Disgusting to not let guests know this, I had a lot of heavy camera equipment that I needed to haul across the road from a multi storey car park. The food was well below par, charged nearly £18 for a cheeseburger and small amount of French fries which were cold. The burger was hardly edible, and tasted like it had been rewarmed in a microwave. Again, when mentioned to the duty manager, no resolution was offered. The one bath towel in the room had a very large stain right in the middle of it, didn't notice until I was stepping out of the shower so too late to get another. Not good enough. Also given the room right outside the crossing so it was forever beeping and disturbed my rest. Extremely busy road, sirens, cars, people shouting and screaming on their way home from the pub. Worst stay I've ever had in Devon and would most certainly urge anyone to avoid.
