The location is amazing! The bar had a nice selection of hot and cold beverages.

The housekeeping was subpar.

Renovations were still underway during our stay but we were still happy with our first time stay and would enjoy returning.

Loved the location and ease of access to the trails. The buffet dinner was excellent and the bar had great food too.

Nothing.

Beautiful old hotel. Room large and clean. Perfect location. Some construction work outside.

Built in 1927 a classic

I feel since we booked we got the worse room. We were shoved in a corner room overlooking the heating and cooling units and construction materials and trucks. The hotel had opened rooms because when we were sitting outside staring at Half Dome hardly any lights were on in the rooms.

The property stands alone and speaks for itself. It is one of the last vestiges of pure California.

For the price, I expected better. I used to be a gm for a luxury historic hotel, so I am very familiar with the hospitality industry. The Ahwahnee is a beautiful property. The wait staff, valets and bellmen were excellent. The concierge was rude and rather snotty. (I believer her name was Michelle). The blankets/comforters on the beds were terrible, thin little things. We were provided with extra blankets, which helped. The room was clean, except for a stain on the sofa. The food in the bar was actually superior to the dining room, but in fairness, the dining room was limited to a buffet at the time of our stay. I would stay there again, but only if I got a special deal. For the money, it isnt that much better than the Yosemite Lodge.

Yosemite can’t be beat. One of the most beautiful places in the world.

Main kitchen has been undergoing seismic renovations for a couple of years. When we made reservations a few months before our trip I recall saying that the renovations would be complete prior to our visit. Alas, they weren’t. Completion date now later in 2025. Dining room evening meal was a buffet. Not my standard for fine dining.
