Spectacular grand hotel and a view of Half Dome from our room made for a perfect short visit

Iconic hotel in amazing Yosemite National Park. Expensive but worth it for a bucket list vacation.

Location, employees really attentive and thoughtful

The bedroom had this smell of old carpet as if the windows have never been opened , the shower water flow was not good, expensive dinner buffet (more than 60 dollars) and a coffee bar that stops serving food at 8:30pm. Really hard to find an available slot for breakfast reserve after 8am at opentable, only a thin blanket incapable of warming us at the bedroom

The location of the property and the view is incredible. Unfortunately, the cost of the room does not align with what you actually get…you get an outdated room with a torn headboard, poorly cleaned furniture and curtains with dirty carpet and a room with spiders and other insects crawling around. What a waste of a potentially beautiful and historic hotel.

It is a beautiful building and property, marred right now by construction stuff. But the interior is still beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. And because not full, we got primo seat by big new windows for breakfast buffet - absulutely stunning.
