Railay Princess Resort & Spa

The staff are lovely , everyone greets guests with a warm smile and provides quick service for FB , FO and HK and The breakfast was delicious, and the dinner was excellent.

Very nice and chill hotel for family or couples... I feel this is one of the affordable hotels in Railey west... I would love to recommend to everyone to try..

Nice location, near with the pier, good swimming pool, good service and front desk really helpful, I will come to stay here again.

The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. I had a very comfortable stay.Spacious, quiet, and nicely decorated. Perfect for relaxing after a long day and reat location, tidy room, and very comfortable bed. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very nice. It was near to the pier. We take the boat from Aonummao. And got the room building 5 with the garden view near to the poollll. Everything here was very perfect. The staff at front dest very helpful awesome!!!

I don't often give a 1 star review but Railay Princess is surely deserving of this. I also booked a mountain view room but they gave me a ground floor room in the off season. I don't know why, I didn't check until after check out that it wasn't what I booked but I suspect they try to put everyone in these ground floor rooms for some reason, they certainly look more busy than the other rooms. The bigger problem is these rooms are full of mould, due to the climate at Railay and the set up of the rooms, it's basically a breeding ground for mould. Everything smelled like mould and by the second day I was getting sick (didn't happen anywhere else in Krabi, and I got immediately better after leaving the room). I tried to explain to the front counter but they said they couldn't smell or find anything. I mean com'on it hits you straight away when you enter the room. I spoke to my neighbour who said they also had to check out early as it was unsafe. There can also be a plumbing smell at times, but I know the difference. The staff on the Island were also really bad, I hate to say it this way but factually speaking, the burqa wearing staff were really rude, totally unhelpful. This is the only hotel I've stayed at I can think of in the last 10 years that completely ignored a basic request "upper floor" - which i had paid for!!! At breakfast the serving supervisor proceeds to help himself to meals, whilst it's still breakfast time for another 15minutes!!!! This gives you an ideal of the standards set at this hotel. I think at one stage it would have been a jewel but those days are long gone. I really suggest you picking a newer hotel to be safe as the railay even after their 'renovations' haven't cut it for me at all. I also witnessed their staff yelling at another poor local couple with young children simply for being late to check out. It really summed up my staff experience with these guys. All in all - musty mouldy room, dark and dank - old old fixtures and plumbing - poor front counter staff Check out some of the newer hotels like the Avatar next door if it's similarly priced you may be much happier with the rooms and newer facilities.

Best stay on Railay beach, especially considering the price. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfy, the shower pressure is perfect, and they even have a rooftop pool. It is a convenient walk to the beach and laundry services. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. Beautiful surroundings, nice pool with beautiful views over the mountain , all the commodities you need to have a perfect holiday. Very good breakfast and very competent staff. I had an issue when I checked in since I had booked a room with mountain view and I got a first floor limited garden view. I went back to the reception and explained that I was not happy with the room because it wasn’t what I booked for but very quickly the reception staff changed my room and I was very pleased because I got a room with a beautiful mountain view. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful island that I recommend and hope to go back.

I booked Railay Bay Resort through Agoda on March 27 around 4 PM NYC time and canceled the reservation within 10 minutes after realizing a group of friends would be in Phuket during the same dates. As a first-time visitor to Thailand, I relied on the confirmation email which stated I had until March 27 at 11:59 PM Krabi time to cancel — a detail that was incredibly misleading given the time zone difference. I immediately reached out to the resort via Agoda, and when I didn’t hear back, I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. Unfortunately, my dispute was denied on April 24, nearly a month after the cancellation — at which point I began emailing Railay Princess Resort directly. After two full weeks with no response, I finally received an email simply denying the refund with no consideration for the timing or circumstances. Despite canceling within minutes of booking and more than a month before my scheduled stay, I was charged nearly $700. I’ve made every effort to resolve this privately and professionally, but the resort has shown zero flexibility, accountability, professionalism or consideration for travelers. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I’m sharing it to encourage the resort to do the right thing — and to warn other travelers. If you’re booking from abroad, please be extra cautious about time zone cutoffs and cancellation policies. The lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism here does not reflect the level of service you’d expect from a place with such promising reviews.
