A little mix up on the rooms, we had to move twice but staff was good to work with. Motel was crazy busy so I understood why the room mix ups happened

Wow! We are - sorry, were loyal Marriott members for many years... up until after a few wonderful stays over the years we needed customer service today for a real problem- that's where they completely dropped the ball. Our curtains were missing a clip and moved over 10" exposing the window- so zero window covering on the edge letting in sunlight when we needed the ever so trusted and expected black- out blind option of a nice hotel suite. -completely non-existent. Understandable, the newer hotel may have some broken curtain or blind issues... We have young children. Our youngest 1 & a half years of age. She needs naps during the day. She is used to blinds being drawn to avoid the sunlight during the day. Minor issue sort of, but here is where the stay went from fantastic to absolutely awful ! Aweful! Yes... after years of staying at Marriott's. This is Sprimg Suites by Marriott. GF, ND. not all Marriotts .. Briefly: I told them I am an installer of drapery for a global company that installs drapery for major hotel chains worldwide-which I am. It is New Years Day, after I offered to fix it for them they said they can't allow that. Ok, I asked for a resolution today as our little one needs her rest. I was told no manager was available being New Year's Day. I said I needed a fix today. A few minutes later the manager came to the desk and said "what seems to be the problem?" After explaining our concern he ( maybe 40, normal looking guy, there most days, was there New Year's Day) said "this is what all the rooms are like" " I have not had a complaint like this in 13 years" he also said. In other words "live with it"! We were told to go to another hotel and we won't be charged for the following night. Huh?? ... I'll spare you all the details but I will conclude that we- children and all at bedtime happily moved over to Holliday Inn - though we paid already for the second night, with a police escort. We will never stay at this Springfield suites thing again in Grand Forks. Currently we will be seeking our trusted legal counsel for the mistreatment our family received at Springfield Suites By Marriott Grand Forks, ND. Nice rooms but be warned- if you are looking for a problem to be fixed or expect good customer service- NOT HERE! I strongly recommend against this establishment. I'm thinking the management is simply overwhelmed with the problems here and needs new management. ... and I am being kind.

Breakfast area very cold, is in front reception but should be warmed up since people come to breakfast in PJ’s. Breakfast was good. Pool area was toxic levels of chlorine. Couldn’t enjoy pool because eyes couldn’t survive chlorine burn just from sitting in chair. The beds are WELL worn in. Sink in in the middle, just old I guess. Springs in back. Room heater/air doesn’t allow for continuous fan, so hotel is too quiet. Should allow for continuous fan. Other than that, very happy.

Slept super well, the pool was so nice and warm, it was easier to swim in. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Our room was great but both front desk workers (evening and day) were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Really made our stay feel welcoming.

Hotel was beautiful and clean, However the morning breakfast was terrible! No coffee, eggs were cold, no options…..

Had an accessible room that was not comfortable have twin 1year olds and an 11 year old. No bath tub awkward layout. Very uncomfortable
