Garibaldi Inn at the Bay

The staff was very friendly, even though I arrived a few minutes early, they offered to let me go ahead and check in and gave me my room key. The room was very clean and comfortable. I didn't see a coffee pot or coffee but there is a drive through coffee stand very close by. I will definitely stay here again.

I suppose a lot of people would expect coffee in the room but I always feel a coffee pot looks like clutter in a motel room. Other than that, I didn't see any lack of attention to maintaining a comfortable room for lodging.

Location was in the town of Garibaldi. I believe it is 1 of only 3 options. I went to the another hotel first but their elevator was out and the price they wanted for a non view room was quite high. I ended up here at the Garibaldi Inn. On the outside it did not look too inviting but inside the room I was very pleasantly surprised. It was quite the value for the money. Big room, 2 beds, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Also everything worked, was functional and not falling apart. Thank you for this restful, peaceful, clean room. Very much appreciated after a long drive.

There was nothing I did not like.

Room was fresh and clean. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Beautiful area with a nice little coffee kiosk next door.

At first the room was just okay, though, it was clearly not very clean. There was hair on the floors and spider webs. Then, around 11:30pm while we were winding down for bed, there was a bug crawling on the bed and we flicked it off and identified it to be a bed bug. We immediately called management and spoke to a lady that quickly moved us to another room. We felt disgusted and even considered just sleeping in the car instead, but ended up just sleeping on top of the bedding just in case. The clean of the second room was even worse than the first but we didn’t find any bedbugs in the second room. In the morning, I spoke with a man at the front desk to see if they’d consider any type of discount or a full refund due to not only the inconvenience of moving rooms so late at night but because of literal bed bugs - and got met with disrespect. He said to my face that he thinks we’re lying just to get a refund on the room in front of other customers in the lobby. I then asked for the manager in which he stated he was the manager and REFUSED to give his name so we could make a dispute on my bank since he refused to give me any type of compensation. We then spoke with housekeeping in which they were dramatically more kind and respectful towards our discomfort and assured us that they were going to do something about the situation and provided us with the “managers” name - Which is PANDEEP so we could do what we needed to do to get this settled. Do not stay here.

Sink didn’t drain well. Wasn’t the bed best, but not the worst, it was a little hard. Room was clean and front desk was friendly.

They waited for us to check in late due to road closure. They were so kind!

good stay overall

It was totally fine. They could landscape and clean up back side of building to give it a little bit of a cozy feeling. The staff was very nice and the room was clean and affordable.
