Holiday Inn Express & Suites Paris, Texas by IHG

We noticed a few cracks in the wall in the bathroom. Overall, the property was clean and felt safe. Even with construction in the building it was a nice place to stay.

Our room’s thermostat was broken and the AC could not cool the room (outdoor temps of 100°F ), so we asked to switch rooms. This meant splitting up our group between two floors as we needed the largest rooms, which was a slight inconvenience. Our other room was a bit warm as well, but manageable. In other Holiday Inn Expresses, they usually provide bedding for the sofa bed in the room, but we had to go down to get these from the front desk—another minor inconvenience. The front desk clerk was as helpful as he could be, but was clearly very ill and displayed symptoms of Covid (fever, headache, muscle aches). He did mask up after I mentioned we had immunocompromised family members, but I do not think he was allowed to leave, which is a shame as he was trying his best to do his job but was clearly in pain and could infect others. Because of risk of infection, we did not stay for breakfast, which is usually a nice perk with Holiday Inn Express. Other than that, the hotel was clean and the staff was courteous.

The staff at this hotel are excellent as was the full breakfast Buffett in the mornings. The room maybe could use a little updating, but the beds were very comfortable and had every amenity we needed. Refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. We will stay here again the next time we are in Paris.

Upon arrival to our room, the sheets looked like they had not been changed and had blood stains on them. While we were out Saturday, the housekeepers never showed up to clean our room or provide new towels and linens. I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and this was the worst experience I’ve had. The guy that works until 11pm however was amazing and did everything he could to help accommodate us.

Coffee was good. Need an assist bar in the shower, tub floor felt slippery.

This was the dirtiest Holiday Inn Express’ we’ve ever stayed in. Black and red mold in the shower, chipped paint on the walls and dirty dust all around the walls of the room along the baseboards. We booked because it was a Holiday Inn so this was very disappointing …especially for $170.00.

I love that Holiday inn is so consistent. You know what you're getting every time you start in one.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very kind. Parking isn’t the greatest. And there was a smell in the the hallways, but it didn’t go into the room!

It was okay. We reserved a king room because it’s my wife me and my one year old who still sleeps with us and we had to fit on a small full bed because they apparently said because we book with hotels they ran out of rooms to fit them
