Red Roof Inn Locust Grove

Room was better than I expected, well appointed and clean. I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived at my room and found the door locked open. I peeked in to see the room was vacant with no sign of anything disturbed. I presume the cleaning staff had left the room open. That was the only negative experience I had there. As for the property, it has parking around three sides of the building and businesses on its borders. That leaves one entrance in and out. So it is secure but a bit limited in access. Not a big deal but seems it might be nice to have driving access to shopping and restaurants. You can walk to a few places easily which I did.

No mention that a $100 deposit was required. Room was useable. The smell of bleach was.. wow. AC was noisy. Car in parking lot directly in line with our window had its high intensity headlights on. Picture a scene from an alien movie with the lights but in the windows. And, they had he atero loud enough it was heard in the room. After 15 min I went to the desk. It was handled. Slowly. Parking lot lights are directed at the building. Again, lighting up the windows.

Good location, nothing fancy, but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were nice and friendly.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a tiny roach. The bed spread was dirty . Another room was given to us on a different floor with no problem from staff . The sheets seem to look better but every time I went to the bathroom I seen a tiny roach . Make sure to take your own towels , they look dirty.

We always stay here after a concert in Atlanta. Great price and away from Atlanta traffic. Smooth deive back home to Florida. Service is always great and courteous.
