Geary Parkway Motel

We came back to the Geary Parkway Motel for a quick one-night stay, and this time we brought our son along. Just like our last visit, the team was fantastic. A special shout-out to Vijay at the front desk, who handled our checkout and went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay before we left. The room was exceptionally clean, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable, giving all three of us a great night's sleep. The only downside to this location is still the street traffic. We like to leave the windows open for some fresh air, but the noise was definitely still an issue on occasion .If you're a light sleeper or prefer the windows open, you might want to bring some earplugs. Overall, it's still a reliable, clean, and comfortable spot in SF with excellent hospitality. We'd definitely stay again! The pictures on TripAdvisor are old. It was remodeled

I specifically asked for a room upstairs (due to sleep issues) via text message and email. I also tried calling but they do not answer the phone. I was assigned to an ADA room downstairs right next to the stairwell. There is nothing on their website that said I was getting an ADA room. I verified this. The hotel staff ignored my requests for an upstairs room which I sent via their preferred way of communication; text and email. I had no choice but to take this room when I arrived because I was told there were no available rooms upstairs. I was unable to sleep due to the noise in the stairwell and the people upstairs walking constantly until 1:00am. When I spoke with the staff member in the morning, he argued with me and told me that I didn't need to stay there again. I had already come to this conclusion. I will not stay in this hotel again. I stressed to the staff gentleman that the lack of communication is what caused this problem. I suggested they improve their communication techniques. The parking is not free. They tack on an unexpected parking charge when you check in. It's a shame because the former owners of this hotel did answer the phone and they were easy to communicate with if you had room preferences. Sadly, it seems those days are gone at this hotel.

The motel is newly renovated and under new management since June. Everything is new from the painted murals spread throughout the property to the pillows on the bed. Definitely, disregard the reviews from previous dates.

One of the only issues is the small space and limited parking spaces. Breakfast iptions wasn't much

The traffic on Geary Street could be heard all night. The bedding was uncomfortable. The top sheet was scratchy and the sheets would not stay tucked.

Some malfunctioning lights and outlets, missing bulbs, noisy room heater, discolored caulking in shower. Good value for overnight stay, but wouldn’t feel comfortable if wife accompanied me to this motel.

Clean and convenient. Well priced. Noisy from road traffic but that goes with the good price. Off street parking.

English language was a problem, could not properly understand & communicate. When advised that the room door was wide open, and there were no towels in the bathroom, kept asking why want more towels…because there are ‘t any! Rude & non apologetic for their lack of complying. Bathroom had one bulb missing. & one burnt out. Lots of visible mold on peeling walls & ceiling…yuck! Ceiling fan dropping chunks of dirt, electrical tape used for drywall repair?

I have stayed here numerous times over the years and I could not believe how down hill it has gotten. The initial draw was off street parking without charge and a simple clean room at a reasonable price. Now the only draw is the parking. Very disappointed

The location was great, but the quality of the property was poor; clean but tired and repairs and replacements were needed. The door's hotel security latch was broken (see photo). There was mold in the shower and the floors were spongy from rot. We were disappointed about the promise of "grab and go" breakfast; it was coffee and packaged muffins. In theory not bad, but the office was always locked and we never got to have breakfast (for 4 nights). Sometimes the staff member would answer the office doorbell, but mostly she was unavailable. When she did interact, she seemed tired and disoriented. Housekeeping was friendly and did a great job.
