Dale Head Hall Lakeside Hotel

Beautiful setting with lake views and hiking trails out the back door! Fantasy breakfast and kind, helpful staff!

Characterful building with lovely gardens and view ver Thirlmere. A little dated for some tastes but

Lovely location down on the lake. Bar was cosy, breakfast was freshly cooked and filling, with just a short walk to the nearest pub for dinner. All around a good venue!

Dale Head Hall overall is a nice place . The room No 5 has a splendid view of the lake. We had the 4 course meal which was beautiful and well presented. The staff were friendly , however I would have to say Dale Head lacks atmosphere.. No background music either in bar area or dining area which adds a little ambience. we spent most of our time in our room.. If you want somewhere isolated , very quiet then you would like Dale Head.

Basic hotel .....needs modernising .....also needs more lighting outside

Comfortable hotel and lovely room (11) with excellent garden and lake views. The hotel could have better security lighting around the car park and entrance as the hotel is in a very dark and secluded area. Whilst having lovely views, the breakfast room was quite uninspiring although the breakfast provided was very tasty. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The shower could have been warmer. However we spent a comfortable three nights at the hotel and enjoyed our short break despite the very wet weather.
