Best location - right on lake - with lake view rooms very nice Quiet - feels private your own lake very nice walk unfortunately the Restorant was closed due to covid-19 but with Restorant working you do not need anything else it is totally self contained place right on lake we will always go there .

Lovely views of the Lake no facilities for food snacks ect!

Over all stay was nice, breakfast was lovely, all Covid-19 measures were taken very well. Location is wonderful.

Very clean as you'd expect given covid 2020. Lovely place in a superb location for the mountains. Eerily quiet so for me thats a win win.

We were very disappointed with our room, it was really shabby & tired looking.. although the views were spectacular.. we had to choose our grab and go breakfast before we had even finished checking in, which I thought strange. We weren’t advised when booking that the hotel dining room was closed due to COVID-19, & were told what time our breakfast would be delivered to our room, I would have liked a choice.

Amazing location and views across the lake. Room was a little tired and could have been cleaner. Would have been nice to have been told the restaurant was closed before we arrived and also a note in the room about the water (from its own treatment system)

The Location is great, our Room (No5) was perfect with an unrestricted view across to the Lake. However due to CV19 restrictions there was No Restaurant or Bar. Hotels.com which made no mention on this so I paid £200 a night for a B&B without any Breakfast. Low mark for staff as we only saw the owner on arrival when he delivered the bad news. Whilst the Room was clean the whole place needs some refurbishment (and new Carpets)

View from our room was gorgeous. The hotel was delivering breakfast to our room due to Covid, and it was lovely having our breakfast looking out onto the lake.

Booked for two nights to enjoy some walking. Stayed in four poster room 14. Could only stay one night as our bed was so uncomfortable we barely slept and suffered back pain. The mattress was so old, cheap and uncomfortably you could actually feel the springs digging into you. Management didn’t seem too bothered about this. No apology and no offer of refund. This hotel has so much potential as one of the best locations in the lakes overlooking Thirlmere. Please, please replace your mattress.

Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable room.
