Hotel Astoria Sorrento

Great location in centre of Sorrento .Staff are very friendly and helpful.Breakfast buffet good and worth taking in the first floor garden which is delightful. Bedroom and bathroom rather small with thin walls , rather dated . Nice plunge pool and terrace.If you’re looking for an hotel near restaurants,the bus and railway stations , you can’t go wrong with this place .

very central hotel near near sea, shops , bars ,restaurants and bus and rail station. hotel was kept spotless small plunge pool .Amalphi well woth the trip even if just for bus journey. If going to amalphi go on local bus a lot cheaper but leave early as bues are very busy . Herculaneum is good to see and pompei and vesuvious but be prepared for climb to top of volcano for last 200 metres or so

The hotel was truly magical—spotlessly clean with a fantastic breakfast buffet and exceptionally friendly staff. Its prime location, just steps from the beach and in the heart of Sorrento’s historic town, made it perfect for exploring. A charming secret garden on the first floor added a unique touch to the stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Sorrento.

Ok, I’m trying to think of something to complain about but hmmm nothing hahaha as that’s what everyone expects at the moment, well here goes, location- smack bang in the middle, cannot get a better location, train station 10 mins away, beach 10 mins to the front, shopping you’re right in amongst it. Hotel - it’s spotless, cannot fault it, as for the food we’re half board and our only issue is omg it’s sooo much, lovely but not used to 4 courses and lots of it. Pool - no it’s not Olympic size you’re in the middle of the town, it’s a plunge pool big enough to chill in and the lounge area is smashing. Staff - from daily workers right up to boss man they are all charming and everyone pleasant and polite, would I come back here again HELL YEAH love it xx

Wonderful place to stay for me and my daughter who just finished studying abroad! Walked from train station to hotel and from hotel to marina for the ferry. Adorable stores surrounding the area. We had a corner room with a wrap around balcony on the second floor. Restaurant below with a great singer/entertainer from 7-10. After 10, plenty quiet for sleep.

They went above and beyond all our expectations. Parking is difficult in Sorrento and they valet parked for the same as regular parking. The hotel bar was cheaper than rest of the area. We had an early departure and they had our bill ready and a takeout meal since we had to leave before breakfast hours. Great location and a beautiful courtyard!

We both loved our holiday staying here recently, first time to Italy and will definitely stay here again. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much. The room was spotless as the whole hotel. The food was so wonderful and plenty of choice especially at breakfast. Right in the heart of Sorrento so enjoyed every moment. The garden is so beautiful and the jasmine smelt wonderful. First time I've been under lemon trees.

Everybody running this hotel are very friendly the rooms are compact and very clean but the walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs.the hotel gave us an invitation to dinner up on a hill one night the views and the restaurant were beautiful but the food was awful and the curtsy car dropped us off at a place we were not familiar with so we had to find a taxi to take us back to the hotel the Astoria is in the historic part of Sorrento and convenient to walk around the town, Over all we enjoyed our stay

This hotel was not a great as I expected at all. The main reason being the bed, which was stiff as a board, likely the cheapest option on the market; and instead of being a true King bed, it's two doubles pushed together. The first night was very tough and I could hardly get sleep. The location is great and my room was relatively quiet. The hotel seems to have invested in things like newly tiled bathrooms, but unfortunately not in the beds, which to me is key to a good hotel room. Not having a good bed is like going to a restaurant which great silverware and fine china, only to find out the food is inedible.
