Hotel Playa Santandria - Adults Only

Nice quiet hotel. Good breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the beach. The beach is right beside the hotel so having a dip in the sea at anytime is no problem. You can spend the day on the beach if you want to or go out for the day and have a quick swim when you get back, it is so easy.

Nice spot right on a quiet cove. Breakfast is excellent, the breakfast staff were excellent and very friendly. Rooms very clean. Beds were comfortable but a double was just two singles pushed together and the pillows were the spanish style long tube type which I personally cant sleep with so had to buy one locally. The pool only has sunlight for the first few hours of the day and is then in complete shade. Good restaurant on site and on the corner over the road the best pizza place/ restaurant on the island.

Location, location, location! Right on the lovely beach, with sheltered swimming in the inlet. Had half-board, which worked well, with excellent, unpretentious food. Adults only hotel (possibly because of the drop from the balconies?), which suited us very well. Good service, despite the friendly staff seeming exhausted at the end of the season.

The hotel is very well located right by the beach. It's a small and charming hotel and the first impression is great. Reception and common areas have been decorated with taste and it's very cozy. However when you enter the room much of the charm goes away. The room hasn't been refurbished since the 70s. Old, tasteless furniture, tiny bathroom (you need to close the door to use the loo), no bidet although it was listed. The king size bed was just two beds together, so the mattresses were split in the middle making them very uncomfortable for a couple. There was no desk (even if it was listed) and the only chairs are the plastic ones in the terrace. The room doesn't have a minibar either, which is a shame because being by the beach you want to keep your drinks cold, specially since after 11pm everything is closed around (including the bar at the hotel). Unsurprisingly, wifi was terribly slow, making it unusable. All the staff were very nice and helpful, and location was excellent, but the room itself was much worse than expected. So I would only recommend it with mixed feelings.

Great hotel on the beach with good restaurant downstairs. Quiet area but easy access by bus into old town.

We found it a very quiet, relaxed hotel. The manager and staff were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful whrnit came to solving such minor problems as softer pillows and a refrgerator. The hotel has a roof area with comfortable sun-loungers, shady parasols and immediate access to the beach, which is extremely clean, charming and generally un-crowded. The hotel has a good restaurant, and there is another good one, Sa Nacra, round the corner of the beach (best to book there). We enjoyed our stay very much, and shall return to the hotel.

Pleasant hotel and friendly staff. Small wardrobe in the room and no kettle. TV down in the lobby has English channels. I did not try the food but the breakfast was good.

Pros - Staff are friendly, polite, work hard and go the extra mile for anything you need. This includes the hotel restaurant - It is *right* on the beach - There are 3 restaurants (other than the hotel restaurant) to choose from (within a 2min walk) - Room was simple, relatively spacious, cleaned daily. - Non-seaview rooms have a view of the beach - Sunsets over the sea, as the hotel is located on the west coast - breakfast buffet is varied and good quality (local meats, excellent croissants, espresso capsule coffee machine) - Recently been refurbed, looks boutiquey without the high prices Cons - Swimming pool is at the back of the hotel (still nice, just doesn't get afternoon sun) - There is no cheap cafe restaurant option, only mid-range and above (but there are 2 supermarkets within 5mins walk open late)

The hotel is situated right on the beach and there are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The cove is quiet and peaceful (we stayed at the end of May), and only a 10 minute drive in to Cuitadella. All the staff were friendly and helpful but worthy of special mention is Gabriel the manager who was especially helpful. The breakfast was excellent wide a wide choice on offer from fresh fruit to cold meat and chees to cooked food if you wished. It all made for an extremely relaxing restful holiday
