Hotel Alfieri

We loved this hotel. The rooftop pool was perfect to relax by after a morning of exploring. There was even a rooftop bar to enjoy a drink at. The drink prices were very reasonable! The breakfast buffet was very good and we enjoyed the homemade focaccia. There was a lovely short walk along the lake to a variety of restaurants which were also very good. It’s about a 45 minute walk into the centre of the old town but there is a bus stop 1 minute away that will take you straight to the town and only €2. We will definitely be staying again.

The only thing we can fault is that the beds were very firm and not the comfiest but it won’t stop us from staying again!

Breakfast felt a bit disorganised e.g. no milk by the cereal and no large spoons.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals und das umfangreiche tolle Frühstücksbufett. Die Reinigungsdamen waren sehr zuverlässig und haben einen guten Job gemacht. Die liebevoll gestaltete Eingangshalle mit den Sitzmöglichkeiten draussen laden zu einem Drink ein. Der Pool auf dem Dach mit der schönen Aussicht und der Bar gefiel uns ebenfalls sehr gut. Alles in allem eine klare Weiterempfehlung!!

Die Matratzen waren uns zu hart. Ein Kosmetikspiegel im Bad wäre hilfreich. Sinnvoll wäre noch eine 2. Kofferablage

The hotel has a great location to explore the area with the car (around Lago di Garda) and a lot to explore in walking-distance as well (restaurants, ice-cream, old-city of Sirmione...). The breakfast is amazing, especially if you like italian-cuisine (italian cheeses, fresh baked focaccia every morning, tomato, olive oil, and great coffe!).

There is basically no negative aspect of the hotel, especially for the price. The rooms are small (for a quadruple room) and a bit outdated, but it was clean. The pool area at the top is nice (with great view), but in April/May not useful, since the water is not heated.
