We loved the pool and the views

It was a bit out of our way walking

Attractive property on the edge of town with great pool area and garden. Lovely terrace if you want a drink there.

Pool is only open until 6.30pm which is a bit early when weather is so warm. Towels are €5 to rent if you don’t have your own. I’m not sure that should be charged if the property has a pool. We can’t carry towels when walking VF. Apart from pool issues all was good.

We were not staying at the hotel but reserved a table on the terrace for lunch. We came mainly for the uninterrupted view of the Tuscan countryside as the hotel is at the edge of San Quirico but only a short walk from the old town centre. We weren't expecting too much of the food and service as some of the reviews posted here were a bit negative but we needn't have worried. The view was indeed lovely but the food and the service were also outstanding, as was the friendly welcome from the hotel manager. We started with one plate of local cheese, ham and salami which was excellent quality, and more than large enough for two as a starter. The bread was served with local extra virgin organic olive oil. The main courses were equally good, my husband had the roast chicken and I had the lamb chops which were so good that we went back two days later and I had the same meal again. Our waiter Carmelo was friendly and chatty and he and the manager both looked after us very well. All in all this was an excellent choice for lunch and the meal and the wine were very good value. Highly recommended.

Mooie ligging , mooie tuin en zwembad

Ontbijt was beperkt en 1 dame van personeel die moest zorgen voor de aanvullingen had blijkbaar niet veel goesting. Eerste morgen bijna half uur moeten wachten om iets van croissant of chocolade koeken te kunnen eten terwijl dit gewoon tijdig moest afgebakken worden in de keuken . Hetzelfde met de omeletten , opnieuw dame in kwestie moeten aanspreken of anders was er niets ! Brood was ook heel beperkt. De dagen dat een grote groep (met bus) bleef overnachten was er geen probleem dan was er hulp in de bediening en was er voldoende van alles. Mooi zwembad maar ook daar de robot lag in het water maar werd niet gebruikt. De ligstoelen rond zwembad stonden overal rond , is toch een kleintje om op het einde van de dag alles op zijn plaats te zetten . Voor gebruik handdoek werd ook 5 euro aangerekend per handdoek !

A localização mais interessante que fiquei na Toscana, da para ir a pé para a cidade, então expliquei os ao redores de carro, deixei o carro no hotel e fui a pé em 10 min até a cidade para jantar e ver o pôr do sol. Excelente ponto de apoio e o quarto tinha uma vista linda para as colinas
