KAKTUS Hotel Kaktus Playa

Très bel hôtel, moderne et rénové. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel après avoir vue les photos de la piscine rooftop qui semblait incroyable. Très déçu à l’arrivée de se voir refusé l’accès à cette piscine. Elle est payante et très chère: 20 euros par personne et par jour. Un scandale que ce ne soit pas écrit sur le site Hôtels.com. C’est même l’inverse, c’était indiqué « l’accès est compris dans les frais de l’établissement ». Même en montrant cette mention sur mon téléphone, l’accueil nous refuse l’accès. Très décevant. Elle n’est gratuite pour les suites.

Property and room was super clean, staff were friendly, awesome breakfast. Would absolutely stay again.

We had a pleasant stay at Kaktus Playa Hotel, which is rated as a 5-star property. The hotel was clean, modern, and well-maintained, and housekeeping kept everything looking great throughout our visit. The breakfast was good too, with a decent variety and served from 8:00 to 10:30. One really thoughtful touch that we appreciated was a surprise bottle of champagne they brought for my mum’s birthday—it was complimentary and made her day feel extra special. That kind of gesture goes a long way and definitely stood out in a positive way. However, a few things fell a bit short of 5-star expectations. Our “city view” was really just a view of nearby hotels, as you can see in the attached photo. Also, while we had a double room, the bed was actually two single beds pushed together, which made it less comfortable. I understand it allows for flexible room setups, but it wasn't ideal for sleeping. Also worth noting: the rooftop pool shown in the photos is not included in the standard stay—it’s €20 per person, per day. The spa is also extra at €10 per person, per hour. The only pool included is a small one with limited seating. Overall, it was a good stay with some lovely touches, especially the birthday surprise, but a few aspects didn’t quite live up to the 5-star rating.

Parkmöglichkeiten in Umgebung schlecht und im Hotel nur gegen Aufpreis möglich. Auch die Nutzung der Dachterasse nur gegen Aufpreis möglich. Der Aufpreis war meiner Meinung nach übertrieben teuer und die Dachterasse sollte zumindestens im Hotelpreis enthalten sein

We had ANTS in our room, and unfortunately, the issue was not addressed immediately—we had to report it twice. Even after the room was cleaned, ants were still present the next morning. This hotel clearly needs a proper pest control visit. The food was initially served cold, but once we reported it, the issue was quickly resolved, and the quality improved. Access to the rooftop costs €30, which is not worth it at all—the area is outdated and underwhelming. The hotel itself is very small, and the pool area is tiny with limited space, making it impossible for all guests to enjoy it comfortably. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel. We travel often, and in our opinion, this property doesn’t come close to that standard. Evening dinner is only served from 20:00 to 22:00, which feels quite late and is a short window. There is no privacy in the room as well. Everyone can see each other and it is very uncomfortable. There are electric thick blinds available but imagine you have to keep them close all the time when you are in the room and there is no fresh air. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning.

The hotel is definitely no where near a 5 star,not sure how everyone is so exited about this hotet,but for me its 3 star max if stretch. Ants in the room,in a sink,in a shower all over around the corners and in a toilet,reported to the reception 9am and they pretended to be very surprised,grabbed quickly the phone,cleaner is on the way.She came at 14:45 sprayed couple of corners and went out,sink and shower still full of ants,so had to go again to reception and the same cleaner sprayed again,helped for a few hours and later the night they were all over again,was disgusting,luckily it was last night and they were not in a bed. There is hardly any privacy,as each balcony next to each other and only with a blind you can cover the window,which blocks incoming air if you want fresh air overnight,soon as you raise the blind everyone can see (not sure how exactly to explain,but when you there you will understand). The hotel itself is dated,really needs refreshing. Parking which hotel provides (need to walk outside hotel) is €20 a day,the most expensive i have ever paid in spain.

A Delightful Stay at Kaktus Playa Our stay at Kaktus Playa was truly enjoyable. The hotel's location is fantastic—conveniently situated close to attractions and amenities, making it easy to explore the area. The food at the hotel was a highlight; the variety and quality of the dishes were impressive, leaving us looking forward to every meal. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was remarkable, from the common areas to our room, which was spotless and well-maintained. However, there are a couple of suggestions for improvement that would make the experience even better. It would be wonderful if each room came equipped with slippers and bathrobes, adding an extra touch of luxury and convenience. Additionally, we were surprised to discover that there’s a swimming pool in the basement—it wasn’t clearly advertised, so more visibility about this feature would be great for guests to take full advantage of it. Overall, Kaktus Playa is an excellent choice for a relaxing and well-rounded stay. We hope to visit again soon!

Don't go to this huge impersonal hotel with its anaemic bedrooms if you're vegetarian. Although I was booked in as vegetarain by my travel company, i lived on salad for the 12 days I was there and no one cared. Even though i made requests and even gave the Maitre'd a list of what the chef could prepare for me, nothing was forthcoming.

Positive: good Christmas entertainment, good food and excellent members of staff. Negative: Room is spacious but no privacy if you are with someone that you are not that familiar. The toilet is separated from the washing basin. Also, the sliding door doesn't close properly therefore, everything that you are doing in the toilet, can be heard. It can be highly embarrassing. The engineer came to fix it as the sliding door made a loud noise when it's opened or closed, quite disturbing in the middle of night. However, the noise remained the same. The hotel was fully booked so, we were unable to change the room. The most aggravating issue was the way that the restaurant chef: Ferrati was mistreating the members of the staff. The poor restaurant assistants, behind the counter, worked so hard and were really polite. However, the chef Ferrati, used to march around the restaurant, shouting at the members of staff, humiliating them in front of the clients. All of us, were appalled with his bully treatment and the hotel should treat is as an illegal issue. He should be strike off by the profession. Therefore, we shall never return to the hotel again.

Arrived at this hotel on a couch trip from England with sheathing after a bad journey hoping for the best given a nice room but when we went for evening meal lots of other coach trips saying there , would have not been to bad but we-lag party put into small spaces, you could not sit to eat meal as keep having to move to let others in or out to sit did report but know change even tried to be sorted while there . Food plenty of choice but not hot best meal had was a salad, some of the entertainment was good other no so but staff worked hard. Only a few minutes walk to the beach or town would consider returning when more things open but not sat as we were for meals
