Parador de Zamora

This is a very unique hotel, in a wonderful location. Zamora was much more than we expected, and staying in this 'castle' was super fun. The only reason I do not give it the highest marks is that it truly needs to be better appointed to make that 5-star rating. The room decor is drab, and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. I only had 2 hours of sleep due to the rock hard bed. However we only stayed one night, and the ambiance of the location and overall hotel was super charming. I would not stay here again unless the beds were much better though. In the middle of the night I seriously considered sleeping in the car as it would have been more comfortable. The hotel has a great deal of potential, I hope it is improved, it could be truly wonderful.

Centrally located in a beautiful old palace, the parador was delightful. Loaded with history this heritage building was a delight. However the staff were at best disinterested and at worse downright rude. This was the third parador in a row that we visited and by far the least welcoming We will use other 4 star hotels in future

Property was beautiful, well maintained and had excellent staff. Our only disappointment was because my husband is in a wheelchair not all the hotel was accessible to him but as an historic building we understand why

Free parking wasn't ready available so we had to use 18 euro per night hotel parking. Other than that everything was absolutely great

Historic building in old quarter...some aspects of the rooms are dated and the beds are hard. Otherwise, cool

Excellent loacation. Great 5th floor roof open to the residents. Superb/super friendly front desk staff. Driver on staff to handle parking your car.

Great location and city was great for walking. Loved seeing all the white cranes with black tipped wings. The Plaza Mayor was an absolute delight filled with locals enjoying the evening.

Zamora is a magical place, peaceful, safe, very clean, the locals very friendly. The chance to stay at the Parador de Zamora turned out to be an excellent choice. Everything about the place was historic and the staff very professional.

Nice historical hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at Paradores in Zamora. The hotel is a traditional Paradores, with spacious and well appointed rooms. The facilities and service are all very good. Undercover parking is available as is a swimming pool. I would recommend staying at the Paradores. Zamora is also a fantastic city to visit with many interesting historic sites.
