We always stay here every time we travel to Costa Blanca which is most years. It is our final overnight stop on the road trip down and we always look forward to it. It feels like a bit of home to us. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff and they respond well if you at least try a little Spanish. It works well being just off the A23 and it has parking whereas we couldn’t find places to stay in town with off street parking. It’s an easy 25 minute walk into the town centre which requires a bit of a hill but very doable. The only downside for us is having to wait until 20:30 to eat whether that’s in the bar or restaurant. I understand it is the Spanish way, especially as people seem to still be eating lunch at 16:00, but if you haven’t eaten since breakfast it’s a long time to wait as lunch plus dinner is a stretch too far for us. Even 19:30 opening would be helpful. Breakfast is buffet style but it is continental. We haven’t seen a hot buffet breakfast on offer here so this time we skipped breakfast. In our opinion the bar menu offers a much better selection of meals. We both had great meals in the bar. We also ate in the restaurant which was good but for us the preference would be the bar. We have also learned that most hotels in Spain serve enormous starters, so be warned. The plate of Spanish meats starter in the restaurant would easily feed three people. The pool area is great and a special mention to Marcus the pool attendant who was so helpful. He is a real asset to the hotel. Will definitely be back next year.

La ubicación

El personal no era demasiado amable. Lo peor sin duda, el desayuno. Variado si, pero absolutamente todo de una pésima calidad. El café malo, el pan malo, la fruta, la pastelería …todo un desastre. Y cobran 20 euros por persona.

We hadden een fijne kamer met een heerlijk bed. Onze fietsen werden veilig gestald. Het Parador ligt midden in het groen en toch dicht bij Teruel. Het zwembad was héérlijk.
