Castletown Hotel

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Parking upon arrival was easy & we were greeted by very helpful staff at check in. We looked to eat elsewhere (Thurso) but there was nothing which took our fancy, so we opted to eat in the hotel... and I'm so pleased we did - we had the most wonderful meal. The staff were attentive, despite a coach of people arriving while we were eating. The beds were comfortable & the bath towels luxurious. Breakfast was included in our stay and we had another wonderful experience of a buffet style breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt & other traditionally cooked choices. All in all a fabulous stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The furniture and the bathroom are dated.

Staff especially kitchen/breakfast staff really aversive and unhelpful. Very old room decor needs refresher

The staff were very helpful and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable and the Breakfast was good quality and plentyfull. We dined there in the evening and enjoyed the food which was very reasonably priced.

De totale indruk van het hotel is erg deprimerend. Het ziet er in zijn geheel erg verwaarloosd uit. De entree, de kamer, de bedden, de badkamer ... allemaal erg beneden peil
