Stayed for one night, room was clean and nicely decorated. Had a good meal in the bar. Lovely leisure club on site which you can use.
quiet and peaceful location. Restaurant was great with a good selection of food available either in the restaurant or the bar. Emma in the restaurant was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
A lovely quiet country hotel with excellent accommodation. We stayed in a signature suite & it was spacious, clean & bright. The leisure facilities were better than expected & the restaurant food was plentiful & delicious.
Hotel was in a beautiful and quiet location. We had a good sized room but the shower only dribbled out water at best and the room was very hot. The overhead fan didn’t work but a stand-alone fan had been provided. We were fairly late arriving and only stayed overnight so my husband was going to report the issues with the fan and shower in readiness for the next guest as we left. However, after waiting some time at reception and nobody appearing he gave up and just left the keycard on the reception seat. Breakfast was adequate, we didn’t use the leisure facilities.

Lovely village great facilities
Very good access just off M6 but in a pretty and quiet village. Plenty of parking. Hotel had maintained its clean, very comfortable, nicely furnished rooms since our last visit. There is a choice of pub bar and restraunt dining and our bar food was good traditional food. Staff were friendly though maybe some were newly trained and service a bit slow. Strongly recommended and will be back.
The quality and friendliness of this hotel was up to its usual high standards. Good choice for breakfast, full English was tasty and filling. The only downside we found was the bar, poor service, selection of cocktails and some prices were expensive. To the point we found a lovely friendly wee pub 5 minutes from the hotel and chose to go there instead for drinks.
The staff were so friendly and helpful They deserved 6 stars. Cleanliness was good Food was good and the service excellent The property is older and doesn’t have an elevator/lift. Our room was quite small. The floor boards in the room above squeaked on our second night we were woken up at 5am by the people above who must have had to check out early
Great stay. Brilliant pool. Not far from Gretna.
