Hôtel Relais des Landes - Demeures et Châteaux

As a family of 6 adults, we had three very comfortable rooms at the hotel for two nights. We were able to enjoy a prix fixe menu in the restaurant one night which was inventive and had fabulous quality food. The breakfasts were copious and the availability of the heated pool enabled us to relax after sight- seeing in and around the Loire valley.

This was a stop on a bike ride during the summer of 2016. I only stayed one night at this hotel. I had a late arrival after getting lost, but was so happy to be greeted by the friendly staff. I stayed in one of the rooms attached to the house, and they seemed on the rustic side. I slept comfortably. The breakfast was nice, typical for the area: meats, cheeses, yogurts and bread. I do remember the breakfast room be well lit and pretty nice. I only spent a few hours there, and it was just an okay stop.

We have stayed over 30 nights at different hotels of different classes and standards in france this summeramd this one just didnt really make the grade for the price. It is set in stunning grounds and a lovely looking building but the interior of the rooms is very very dated and in need if upgrade. It was like staying at an old relatives house. The bathrooms especially need modernising as no real shower , just an old handset in an old bath. General repair standard if the bathrooms is poor unfortunately. The room did its job but was horrendously overpriced for what you get for your money as a lovely setting will only get you so far.

This beautiful hotel is out in the country, totally away from the crowds. Gorgeous peaceful setting next to a small forest. It is not in Blois, and is far enough removed that if you do not have a working GPS or other good instrument for guidance, then you should definitely plan on arriving before nightfall. For our arrival, it was late and we were lost. The front desk was extremely helpful when I called for some directions. I stayed at this hotel many years ago, 1999, and had always dreamed of returning. While it is still an extremely pleasant location and setting, we felt that the staff was just a bit inattentive. It seemed that one or two of the staff may have had their big family visiting and staying at this hotel. That would be fine except that it seemed that all attention went to these other guests so that there was inadequate help or attention to us in the dining room - both at breakfast and again at dinner. We felt somewhat less than valued, which of course made this stay a little bit disappointing. This hotel is really really nice, but I checked out thinking I am not sure I will stay there again the next time we are in Loire Valley.

very welcoming and a very enjoyable stay the staff were very helpful the hotel was very clean the pool was clean and warm and we had a pleasant walk in the woods, overall we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone

Very unusual and unique inn located in an old manor house in Ouchamps, a small farm town. Well-located for visiting chateaux of Cheverny and Chambord. Interesting expansive grounds with inground heated pool (we did not have a chance to use but looked nice) and walking paths in the woods. OUTSTANDING creative dinner with many local ingredients located in the inn restaurant, as well as delicious buffet breakfast. The actual room was typical size for European standards with a very large bathroom. Pretty basic in terms of amenities, but clean. We did have kind of an odd, almost creepy feeling while we were there- I think it was due to the place being very empty with only a few other couples staying there. Nonetheless, we would recommend this as a unique experience for the Loire. The innkeeper was very helpful.

Wonderful lodging, peaceful and quiet, and no traffic noise. Utter relaxation in beautiful countryside. The staff is very helpful and polite, and gave us some great tips on the out-of-the-way places to see, well away from the usual "tourist traps". Dinner is a delight, the chef is excellent. We will likely return.

Nice location. I was disappointed with the room as there was no air con and it was extremely hot in France. The bed looked as if it was from the 70's and not very comfortable ! Disappointing shower - Shower was a hand held mixer over the bath and no fixture to hold it in place, no shower curtain so water everywhere.
