Chateau Colbert

Rooms are standard, but the castle in which they are is stunning: authentic old castle, with the splendor of French aristocracy, magnificent park and surrounding. It is a fantastic way of traveling in time and feel as sharing a lifestyle unique in the world. The restaurant is slow but quality of food is worth a star in Michelin guide!

Absolutely beautiful! Always wanted to stay in a château and this was perfect. Dinner was amazing and service excellent. The potager garden in the grounds is well worth a look and a visit to the adjacent Parc Oriental a must. 5 stars all round.

This is a very impressive place to stay from the minute you drive through the gates. We had a top floor room which had wonderful views across the gardens. The evening meal and breakfast were both very good.

Great spot

The chateau was well signposted and very easy to find. The first sight of it was very impressive and the hotel itself did not disappoint. The staff were all delightfully welcoming and friendly. Our room was small but comfortable and looked out over the small town and the fountains in the gardens. The dining room was beautiful and dinner was excellent. Their chef is very imaginative and clearly very passionate about the menus. Our stay was totally delightful and I wholeheartedly recommend Chateau Colbert.

The château looks great as you drive through the gates, it is all quite imposing. The grand appearance stops being a little intimidating as soon as you meet the warm and friendly staff. The restaurant is great slightly pricey but a lovely experience. Great value for money.

Hotel staff were all very accommodating, helpful and friendly. We arrived late and the lady at the front desk helped us get some food even though the kitchen was closed.

Our room was terrible Poverty comes to mind Seriously needs a massive renovation done on it The dining room was lovely and so was the food Very formal ! Not our style at all ! Stuck out in the middle of nowhere

A last minute booking so our room did not overlook the Japanese garden unfortunately - on the front of the chateau on the second floor the room was rather cramped but very clean. The evening meal was possibly the best that we have ever had in a French hotel over the past 20 years so well done! The breakfast was not extensive but adequate. The chateau itself is a great venue with its super potager next to the Japanese garden. The façade, amongst other parts of the chateau, has undergone some refurbishment since we last stayed and is stunning. I expect that we will return to this venue.
