Chateau Colbert

Très bel hôtel. Chambres au deuxième étage : accès lits enfants par escalier très étroit et raide... Pas de climatisation mais possible d'ouvrir les fenêtres. Chambre et sdb propres mais aération sdb insuffisante. Bon service restaurant mais très long, à éviter avec des enfants en bas âge. Accolé au parc oriental, belle vue sur le parc. Personnel très agréable.

Magnifique et inoubliable séjour au château Colbert en amoureux. Cadre et emplacement du Château de toute beauté, le potager du château est visitable, il y a juste à côté le Parc Oriental également à faire, c’est le plus grand jardin japonais d’Europe.

Very small but comfortable room with smallest size of double bed. Very clean but little clothes storage space. Very modern bathroom with large shower. Poor disabled access with 5 or 6 steps to reception and the route to the room from reception was down these steps, outside along the length of the hotel an up matching steps to a lift then back again along the length of the hotel to ours small room. The same route was needed for meals, checkout and moving our luggage. Breakfast was excellent; dinner was too but after navigating the menu to choose dishes suitable for non meat eaters who like salads in hot weather we decided to eat out the following evening. We found a nice restaurant in Cholet with no requirement for climbing steps in and out and which did serve large salads. The hotel is an interesting building and certainly the rooms pictured on the website look charming which through our servant's quarters into sharp relief. Very nice grounds offering a view over the adjoining Parc Orientale and a visit to the hotel's potager which were both interesting.

séjour au Puy du fou. Emplacement à 30 min environ du parc. PAs de problème pour des arrivées tardives!

Excellent rapport qualité prix, petit déjeuner en supplément pour un prix très raisonnable au vue de la qualité. Jolie chambre familiale idéale pour nous et nos 2 enfants (8 et 11). A servi d'étape pour un séjour au Puy du Fou (à 20 minutes en voiture).

This was my second visit to the Chateau and I hope not my last. The setting is stunning , with rooms overlooking the Japanese gardens. The main reason why we returned to this hotel was due to the restaurant. The food is delicious and presented beautifully,I'd rate it very highly and would even go as far to say on both occasions probably the best food I've had in France. The staff are also very attentive and polite.

Quand on a réservé, on pensait avoir une chambre dont les photos sont affichées. Lit en baldaquin, décors de château... En fait les chambres a 97€ sont des chambres standards sans rien d'exceptionnel sauf le cadre extérieur. Bon séjour mais déçu de cette publicité mensongère .
