Hotel Sangallo

Hotel has beautiful view of Toscana plain. Breakfast is free. Most of all, hotel master was awesome. He was friendly, helpful, and cool. Want to visit here again.

Hotel de gestión familiar. Muy buen trato por parte del propietario. Hotel sencillo pero equipado con aire acondicionado, wifi gratis, aparcamiento gratuito. La limpieza es algo a destacar al igual que las bonitas vistas que se pueden disfrutar a través de su balcón. El desayuno no cuenta con cocina elaborada, bastante sencillo. Alejado del cnetro urbano, recomendado si se dispone de vehículo propio.

Bom custo benefício. Localização mais afastada e só recomendo para quem estiver de carro. Café da manhã muito bom.

The family who own this was very cordial and helpful in settling us in and recommending a nearby restaurant for a great dinner. The view was great, but it was rainy and foggy the night we arrived so we didn't see it until the next morning. We stayed here just one night, passing through Montepulciano, which is certainly worth a visit. Also nearby is the rustic Bagno San Filippo mineral spring - trek thru the woods to enjoy a soak and a view of the "waterfall" of mineral build-up.

I just wanna say that the hotel, being a 2 star hotel, isn't bad for what it is. We arrived at the hotel sangallo on a Smart Box gift package that we received from our friends when we got married. The room was big and clean, and had a desk to sit at and a big wardrobe to hang up all of our clothing and had an awesome balcony and great view. The staff was very friendly and available and gave us great recommendations and help about where to go and how to get there. The breakfast was ample and they gave us different selection from yogurt, toast, cheese, salami, cakes, cereal, juice, croissants, and a special made coffee however you like it. My only real problem is with the bed. I already have enough problems trying to fall asleep in my own bed at home that I didn't really need to come to a hotel for less money that has a bed that not even a homeless man would sleep on. I laid down in the bed at 11pm and after 3-5 minutes I already knew that I was in for long night without sleep. I tried switching sides with my husband but to no avail. Around 3am I sat up and literally started crying because I couldn't fall asleep after 4 hours of trying to sleep on this joke of a bed. The bed was so uncomfortable! It was totally sunken in the middle and I was already trying to figure out how I was going to do another night sleeping on that bed. It is not a good sign when your guests are planning to drive back home because they'd rather lose a day of vacation than sleep on the bed. In the end we figured out a solution that I won't mention here, but we were able to sleep the next night with a little MacGyvering. Yes the hotel is old, but the staff are really helpful and nice and my only complaint is that the boxspring and bottom structure of the bed and mattress need to be put out on the street for the garbage men to come around and take it away to the dump. Terrible beds. That is all.

Wir waren als Familie unterwegs und suchten ein preiswertes Hotel mit 4-Bettzimmer und Frühstück, um von dort Tagesausflüge zu machen und abends in diversen Osterien zu essen, um die lokalen Spezialitäten zu testen. Jeden Abend am selben Hotelbuffet liegt uns nicht so sehr. Das Hotel wird von einer sympathischen jungen Familie geführt. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und verfügte über eine Klimaanlage. Die Betten waren bequem. Dies alles sei nur deswegen besonders erwähnt, da das Hotel nur 2 Sterne hat, jedoch ein ausgezeichnetes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis bietet. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Fahrminuten von Montepulciano entfernt in ruhiger Lage mit eigenem Parkplatz. Ausschlaggebend war für uns diese Lage, denn wir wollten die Seen Lago di Trasimeno sowie Lago di Bolsena und das Meer ansteuern, ebenso Städte wie zum Beispiel Orvieto, Perugia, Siena und andere Ortschaften wie Montalcino sowie schöne Gärten (di Spoerri, Nicki de Saint Phalle). Glücklich wer mit dem Motorrad unterwegs ist, denn die kurvenreichen Landstraßen in der wunderschönen Landschaft sind abwechslungsreich und immer ein Genuss. Zum Frühstück standen Wurst, Käse, Brot, Säfte, diverse Früchte, Müslis etc. zur Verfügung, wie es in vielen Hotels angeboten wird. Der Chef erfüllt jeden Kaffeewunsch. Seine Frau sorgt dafür, dass immer genügend da ist. Nachts ist es ruhig im Hotel.
