Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet établissement. A noter l'excellent accueil et la qualité du petit déjeuner copieux ainsi que la présence d'un restaurant sur place qui propose d'excellents plats.

I arrived here late in the evening needing a twin/double room for my disabled wife and myself. Unfortunately, all of the hotel’s adapted rooms were already booked. Realising the difficulties that this would present us with, the very helpful lady at reception telephoned her partner to discuss the situation. At the end of the conversation she informed me that, having chatted the matter through with her partner, they had agreed that we could spend the night in one of their accessible family suites for the same price as an adapted room; to consider it a free upgrade in view of our circumstances! This represented a substantial discount. We had a very comfortable night at the hotel, and a lovely selection of breakfast choices the following morning., in lovely surroundings. The staff team were very helpful in ensuring that our needs were met, and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. A lovely hotel in all senses, and one that I would recommend to anybody. Thank you Quinta Do Marco - you work hard to give people great service and deserve to be successful. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the completeness of the property. All our needs were looked after and the staff was amazing. Nothing to complain about and a lot to appreciate.

This is a very unique property. Loved it. The rooms are spacious. The food and the service was fantastic.

Nice room and bathroom, huge comfortable bed, good balcony with wonderful views of hotel gardens and the surrounding countryside, hills and distant views of the sea. Staff were all lovely, particularly the restaurant staff, with special shout outs for lovely chatty Sophia, Pedro and Thiago. All were very efficient, attentive and professional. The clue to the location of the hotel is in it's name...Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco - it is quite isolated from any local amenities, villages or restaurants, and a car is definitely a requirement, if a visit to anywhere away from the hotel is desired. Tavira is about 15mins drive away and Olhao about 20 mins. Foodwise, breakfast was good enough - lovely freshly squeezed orange juice every day, a coffee machine providing nice options, limited cereals, some fresh fruits - sliced melon, kiwi, pineapple, orange, and grapes. No whole fruit to sneak away for later tho..! Ham, cheese, sliced tomato, and limited cooked breakfast options - no grilled tomato, b.beans or potato options. Nice bread and cakes. Dinner choices were quite limited - soup or a single starter choice, a single fish main, ditto meat, and ditto veggie option. One dessert choice, oh and a childrens menu too. We ate in the restaurant 6 times, and almost every dish was very nice. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday in a quiet location.

Quaint, quiet secluded hotel. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at home! Definitely book if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday. We ate breakfast every morning, enjoyed the pool, and utilized the spa (steam room and sauna) as well. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner, the cataplanas was the best dinner we had in Portugal!

Both the grounds and the views are beautiful. This was a lovely home base for our family's 6-night stay near Tavira. At first we were a bit unsure because of the hotel's relative seclusion, but we soon got over that. The hotel connected us with an awesome driver named Pedro who was very reliable and readily available, and who ended up costing us far less than a rental car would have for the week. Our Junior Suite was comfortable (though not especially fancy) with plenty of room for the four of us along with a very large balcony with comfortable furniture and great views. Breakfast was included and it was always excellent. We chose to eat a few dinners here as well, which were also great. In fact, if you are willing to order in advance you can select a specially prepared traditional Algarvian dinner. We did this once and I would say that it was among the best meals I've ever had. The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. It was fun to chat with them along with many of the other guests, all of whom seemed to be very happy with the hotel as well. My only criticism was that the AC in our room wasn't quite able to keep up with the heat and the size of the Junior Suite. The smaller family sized rooms may actually have maintained a more comfortable temperature. (I should add that we were there during an especially hot week, and this was only a minor inconvenience.) We would absolutely come back to this hotel and to this particular region of Algarve.

Lovely place in the countryside but still close to Faro, Tavira and lots of great beaches. Comfy rooms, great pool and outdoor area and a really friendly welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!
