Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco

A wonderful family holiday in a uniquely family-friendly hotel. We loved the magnificent cuisine, landscaped grounds and quiet setting while the kids adored the animals (turtles, donkeys, geese and lots more), terrific pool and the company of the other children. Outstanding staff who managed to combine the highest standards of service (in excellent English) with a relaxed and unpretentious style. One of the best hotels in which I've stayed.

A very good hotel! Good price and quality! Beautiful place on top of the mountain, garden and swimmimg pool, umbrella’s, beachbar, more than fine! Hotelroom and restaurant hygenic approach! My special compliments to the staff. We felt very welcome and always smiling 😀😘. Very good restaurant in the hotel as well!! Will never forget this place.

We have stayed here twice and had a wonderful time on both occasions, the place is very clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The grounds are lush well cared for and the scenery and sunrises are beautiful. The food is good though the breakfasts were much better / more varied the first time we stayed. Only one small niggle was the intermittent barking dog that was somewhere nearby on both visits

The vantage point from high up on the hill, was amazing!! Pool is clean and lovely. Very lush surroundings. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and veg grown right on the property!! The room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the valley. Nicely decorated as well. Wonderful stay!!

Et hyggelig hotell i flotte og rolige omgivelser. Nydelig utsikt fra balkongen på rommet, god frokost og hyggelig bassengområde. Sengene var dessverre alt for harde, noe vi gav beskjed om, uten at betjeningen kunne gjøre noe med det. Ellers et veldig fint opphold.

Two Canadian senior friends booked a Room at Hotel Quinta do Marco and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The ‘family room’ had three beds but gave us more space, which we wanted. It was spotlessly clean, pleasantly decorated and so quiet. We were at the end of the building with lovely views of the hillside with a bit of distance from the pool and the happy families. ( Easter week is obviously a time for family vacations!). The pool itself looked lovely but we chose to explore the grounds, the acres of orange and lemon trees, the active bird life and the peace and quiet of this rural oasis. We appreciated the ‘love corner’ which we laughingly renamed as the yoga corner where we enjoyed our outdoor morning yoga with a view! The dining room is a very pleasant space and staff work very hard to provide good service. Of our two meal Selections, the pork dinner was average but the Nile perch was excellent. Breakfast the next morning offered a wide array of options ( including eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious pastries) in a buffet style with attentive staff to help with any needs. Every staff member we encountered was, as other reviewers have noted, eager to answer questions and make our stay as perfect as possible. We have been exploring many historic villages and towns during our Portugal holiday, but we were delighted with this rural hospitality! Highly recommend!

The grounds are lovely. We’re on a road trip with a variety of accommodations and a stay in the country was a welcome change. We took the opportunity to have our dinners in the on site restaurant. Tasty and very comfortable.

c'est un hotel très agréable dans un lieu baigné de silence . Tout est spacieux et bien conçu et le restaurant est excellent aussi. Seul bémol, si vous avez un chien il vous en coutera un supplément de 20 euros sans aucune prestation particulière. Comme un impot...C'est dommage.
