Borgo Livernano

Das Weingut ist schwer zu finden und zu erreichen. (Dirt Road) Das Gut selber ist wunderschön, im typischen toskanischen Stil gehalten. Schöne Steinhäuser, nett bepflanzt und viele kleine Nischen. Da das Hotel ziemlich abgelegen ist, haben wir jeden Abend dort gegessen. Das Essen war eher einfach und es gab oft die selben Beilagen. Die Qualität war OK aber nicht für diese saftigen Preise. (Antipasti 10 Euro, Primo Piatto (Spaghetti) 13 Euro, Secondo Piatto (Fleisch) 17 Euro und Desserts sind 8 Euro) Die hauseigenen Weine sind gut und kosten zwischen 15 und 45 Euro. Ausflugsziele in der Gegend gibt es viele. Man muss einfach mit einer Fahrtzeit von 1-2 Stunden rechnen. Wir waren in Siena, Volterra, St. Gimignano, Radda und Castellina und können alle Orte empfehlen.

Nydelige omgivelser, veldig rolig område. En perfekt plass å dra for å senke skuldrene og ikke tenke på annet enn hverandre.

Wunderschön restaurierte, romantische Anlage mit verschiedenen Wohnmöglichkeiten und kleinem Pool. Sehr gutes Essen und eigene Weine. Einzig der Weg dorthin ist etwas schwierig und man muss sich Zeit nehmen für die löchrigen Schotterstrassen. Von Radda her geht es am besten - und am Schluss wird man mit einem grandiosen Anwesen belohnt.

カーナビで検索できない秘境にあるので辿り着くのは至難の技ですが景色が良くホテルも可愛らしく、オーナーもフレンドリーで優しくてとても快適に過ごせました。車がないと不便ですが周りにたくさんのワイナリーがあり、ドライブして景色を楽しむにはとてもいいところでした。 テラスで夕日を眺めながら取る夕食も最高でした。

Vi hade fem riktigt härliga dagar på Livernano. De har god mat, fantastiskt vin och ligger vackert till på toscanas kullar. Personalen är mycket trevlig och vingården har en lantlig italiensk charm. Rekommenderas varmt! Det kan vara lite besvärligt att ta sig dit på backiga grusvägar men med en bra karta och en stark motor var det inga större problem.

Graciously welcomed by Bartolo aka "James Bond" in the late evening. Resort is beyond beautiful, impeccably clean and remarkably decorated and landscaped. We loved the remote location in the hills of Tuscany. It was worth the long ride on the unpaved road using Google Maps. The food was delicious and plentiful. Every person at the resort went out of their way to make us feel like family and make our stay spectacular. Daniella kindly upgraded us to a suite and we didn't want to leave ever, even to take a day trip. But we visited small nearby villages/towns for shopping and lunch. The staff at Livernano were warm and funny. We were given an impromptu tour of their winery by Juliet who knew everything there is to know about wines and tastings. I woke in the morning and could see the magnificent Tuscan hillside while lying in bed. I thought I was in heaven! It was the unrivaled favorite of 7 hotels/resorts on our European vacation from Paris to Rome. We didn't even want to head to Rome after staying here. Plan to stay long enough to relax your mind and soul. Treat your eyes to indescribable beauty and your taste buds to marvelous breakfasts and dinners. And say to "Bongiorno" to Daniella and Bartolo for us....until we return.

Pleasant stay. The location was challenging to find initially as it rather remote and requires an approximately 5 km. drive along very dusty gravel roads - that is after you locate the beginning of said gravel roads. After you arrive, however, the staff are friendly and helpful with an onsite raustaurant serving tasty food, within an understandably limited menu. Since it is unlikely one is going to make the rather arduous drive into town - and back, the food is great. Probably my real critical comment regarding the property is that the room amenities are a bit "tired" and need of upgrading - the bracket that holds the shower was broken, and I believe had been for some time, so you were required to use it as a handheld shower - ok, but not desirable. The in room safe was small and did not work. There was no heat, as apparently, there is an Italian law that requires all heating to be turned off at the beginning of April and not turned on agin until September - amazing ! So too bad if the weather is cool and you want to take the chill off the room. That's about it for comments, I'd rate it about 3.5 stars .
